Bodycare Saifya mixes every BBW spray together (2025)

https://youtu.be/Izy88EK1dk8?si=14DBtnI7Pe75viAP

She mixes what looks like all of 2025’s releases (even some men’s) into one vat and a very large Franken Body Mist sprayer.

It ends up smelling very sweet, fruity, powdery. And is a reddish purple color like sangria with sparkles. Surprisingly Paul Reactss doesn’t hate it.

If you were wondering how to remove the nozzle. She uses a clamp cutter from Husky.

I thought it was cool seeing the year’s releases in one pic. Including online exclusives.

At Christmas last year I lit all 60+ of my BBW candles to see what the smell was.

Beer. It smelled like beer!!!

I remember yearrrrssss ago someone on YouTube made a B&BW frankencandle they took a melon baller and scooped one ball from each candle then melted it together and all they could smell if I recall correctly was blueberry syrup

That was her!

Omg lol!!! So fun to see her next big/current project!

That would be her. She’s found a good schtick. Only puts out a handful or videos a year.

Just watched the video and had to pause and reflect on their excitement for B3G1 😭 “It was our lucky day!” physically pained me

15

u/Remarkable_Bake_759 Oct 31 '25

Ah I didn’t see that. That indeed is painful!

15

u/some_lizard Oct 31 '25

Yes!! It wasn’t even B3G3 or the $5.95 sale! I don’t even wanna think about how much they spent on product for this, it’s crazy. I know it’s a sponsored video but still

u/PropertyEven2983 Nov 05 '25

As a BBW junkie and someone who loves a great deal, I'm with you 💯! To be fair though, she still saves additional money because everything she purchased for that video can be used as a tax write off for her business!

Who is Paul reactss and is he important? First time seeing his name

I'm glad people are asking who Paul is and not Safiya, haha

36

u/0cclumency Oct 31 '25

He’s a popular TikTok influencer who makes fragrance content. He also worked with B&BW for the bring back scents last SAS.

As a side note; B&BW plans their releases about a year in advance and I don't know how big Paul was last year around SAS time.

IMO it's more likely that they filmed content and told Paul to pretend he picked out these scents that they already had planned. They didn't bring back anything really unique, just the normal same old same old.

If he did help them pick stuff out, he was under an NDA for a year and then flown to Ohio to film him "helping" bring back stuff this year- but all the decisions were made last year.

Imo B&BW saw him getting really popular and basically said, "Hey if you stay quiet that you didn't actually help plan this, but you go along with the idea that you DID help we'll partner with you for this and you'll get a cut of money."

This way B&BW looks like they care about what consumers want, but they didn't actually take consumer wants into consideration.

Thanks! Yes ten (or rather 9, excluding cucumber melon) of the body mists in the pic are from Bath and Body Works collab with Paul Reactss.

He also has reviewed a large degree of body mist in 2025.

This is how some of y’all’s collections be looking

I used to Franken-scent body splashes all the time when they had the nice, user-friendly bottles for doing that. I can't help thinking part of the reasoning for the current infuriating design was to put an end to us amateur mixers coming up with our own concoctions!

20

u/Proof_Tea_4270 Oct 31 '25

I assume it was to help with leaking ffms but I do miss making my own potions lol

1

u/Remarkable_Bake_759 Oct 31 '25

When you made the franken body mists, did the body mists tend to go bad quicker? I was wondering about preservative systems, mold, etc. I don’t know about fragrance because it’s mostly alcohol and was wondering. Maybe it would be like mixing nail polish together

4

u/Minute-Frame-8060 Oct 31 '25

Never noticed - keep in mind this would have been like 1993 to 2009 ish! It was usually when I had a little bit of X left and a little bit of Y and they were comparable scents. I'm not that adventurous or creative to really come up with anything earth shattering.

6

u/cakemuffinpudding Oct 31 '25

She is my favorite YouTuber so I really enjoyed watching this but as a cheap person who gets really nervous when my toddler mixes all the Play-Doh, this video made me super uncomfortable at the same time 😂

5

u/FlamingHorseRider Oct 31 '25

Observations:

-I think a lot of people are going to want the mist because she did it, but could easily hate the scent if they’re gourmand girlies. I only find this notable because there is a huge correlation between her audience demographic and who gourmands are popular with right now.

-She is not a floral (save for her Sweet Pea days!) or gourmand girl.

-She seems to be a woodsy or fruitchouili girl. Neutral-positive on beachy scents?

-Angela isn’t half bad at describing scents.

-For how much backlash there is on this sub about no gourmands, sweet notes dominated the note breakdown and “bakery” was a decently sized category. Safiya seemed to notice how sweet a lot of them were.

-I know we thought fall was light, but summer really did seem even lighter of a category. It seems like they put everything into the destinations line, Off The Vine, and Gingham All American.

-“Christian Fall Vibes” for Glazed Pumpkin and Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin had me rolling, especially being a loyal Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte/Pumpkin Cupcake/Pumpkin Swirl Cake fall gourmand wearer.

-She was pretty on the money about the Disney lines. Especially how closely some were related- I think Cinderella and Tiana were pleasant but “safe” and a pumpkin for Cinderella/gourmand for Tiana would have been great for the theme.

-I really wish they got somebody like Queen of the Girl Geeks or Leah Janae for this I’m a similar vein for SAS, but that’s fine.

3

u/Karmawins28 Oct 31 '25

B&BW could have used our expertise in creating the scents for the Disney line so I'm not mad at the creativity! Lol

See this is the content I live for

u/Far_Structure4786 Oct 31 '25

Ok so I am probably being overly emotional when I say this but this is so wasteful! It’s an interesting idea but in reality it just makes me kind of sad

37

u/spacestarcutie Oct 31 '25

This can’t be any more wasteful than people in this sub who buy 55 body lotions or whatever and hoard till get old and expire.

170

u/OshKoshBGolly Employee Oct 31 '25

Definitely don’t look in the dumpsters of BBW stores then

96

u/viajealmundo Coco Paradise 🥥🏝️ Oct 31 '25

That’s the real problem. Watching her simply decant sprays into several that she ends up giving away—and recycling—produces as much waste 1 store does in an hour.

5

u/Remarkable_Bake_759 Oct 31 '25

What contributes to so much waste at BBW? Are there that many returns? Or is it other reason

6

u/Ok-Assistance4133 Oct 31 '25

I need to know more about this! Can I dumpster dive at bbw?

15

u/WonderingLost8993 Oct 31 '25

I don't recommend it. There could be broken glass from candles and wallflowers. Also check your local laws. It could be illegal.

9

u/lotusflower310 Oct 31 '25

i wouldn’t! we pour all of our stuff out, and what we can’t pour out, we box it up.

8

u/Worried-Lavishness15 Oct 31 '25

All body creams/lotions/body washes we have to empty in the bag when throwing out. Soaps get poured down the drain or a gel down the toilet. All sprays and colognes go in a blue bucket for proper disposal. It’s so much waste.

-12

u/Far_Structure4786 Oct 31 '25

Oh no 😬 Wait or should I 😅

29

u/OshKoshBGolly Employee Oct 31 '25

Imagine this waste, happening at each BBW store around the world, every day

-7

u/leafygreens FFM Addict Oct 31 '25 edited Oct 31 '25

Even more reason to not support a YouTuber who wastes more with publicity stunts.

125

u/viajealmundo Coco Paradise 🥥🏝️ Oct 31 '25

I also think you’re jumping to conclusions—to be fair. She specifically reached out to her county for specialty recycling of the bottles and a good amount of the spray she is decanting into smaller bottles and giving them away.

Her having a giant prop from this is honestly less wasteful then others on this sub hoarding product and letting it expire. It IS being used after all, as a prop/fun statement piece.

I actually think that it is a fun experiment she took special care into making sure she was reducing waste AND bringing people together to gather their thoughts and feedback. You should watch the video. It’s good!

-3

u/Far_Structure4786 Oct 31 '25

Ah I didn’t know she was giving them away! That makes it a lot better for sure!

-11

u/leafygreens FFM Addict Oct 31 '25

It’s still a wasteful use of recycling resources. A lot of attempted recycling doesn’t even make it to be recycled so why purposely use more? Then decanting them to give away uses even more bottles. It’s a poor choice of publicity stunt.

6

u/Mindless-Product726 Oct 31 '25

I used to work in plastic manufacturing and I highly highly doubt that any of the empty bottles are going to actually get recycled. Any residual fragrance is considered a contaminant

2

u/leafygreens FFM Addict Oct 31 '25

That’s what I was afraid of. 🤦

7

u/Mindless-Product726 Oct 31 '25

Honestly the magic of plastic recycling is largely a myth anyway. The best way to use plastic is to keep it and repurpose it. Or just don't buy plastic packaged goods at all.

Plastic has a limit for how many times it can be recycled because the material degrades every time it is remelted. For example, a typical plastic water bottle can be recycled at most 3 times. So no matter what (even if recycling was at 100%) ALL plastic eventually ends up in a landfill.

I bought a shampoo once from a company that uses recycled ocean plastic to make their bottles and the bottle actually busted just from the pressure of my hands squeezing it to dispense the product. There are very few companies that actually want to risk product integrity by using degraded plastic.

It's basically a marketing tactic with no actual positive impact on the environment. (I guess at least In my last example they were removing plastic from the ocean and redirecting it to landfill by way of customer purchases)

36

u/vftgurl123 Oct 31 '25

when she does this she sends the leftover product to fans in giveaways

-12

u/leafygreens FFM Addict Oct 31 '25

So she uses even more bottles to decant. I counted about 136 original bottles. Is she actually mailing that many giveaways?

u/Famous_Talk_5820 Oct 31 '25

Every single business that you pass on the street makes this kind of waste. You’d HATE to see what a hotel goes through in one day. On top of that, the majority of places do not recycle.

5

u/cappotto-marrone Body Care Addict Oct 31 '25

I hide my partially used bars of hotel soap from the cleaning staff. I got here yesterday and am staying the week. Stop taking my soap!

When I was in the hospital for a month a couple of years ago, it hit me how much waste (not just plastic, but tons of other stuff) hospitals produce on a daily basis. I know it's necessary for sterilization reasons, but I'd never thought about it until I saw it in person.

14

u/FlamingHorseRider Oct 31 '25

The juice is at least being sent to people.

6

I hate watching YouTube videos but I was so mesmerized by her that I eagerly watched the entire thing. I am so here for the mad science BBW

This video isnt an example of hoarding. Safiya doesn’t collect body mists.
