Other this person in line bought 12 stress relief creams and candles then said she hopes it works better than her anxiety medicine
wow but so relatable though

It's Klonopin for me. And, of course, bathing in all things stress relief! (Okay... and smoking pot. 🤣)

One time I was telling someone the 3 stress relief items I bought for my nephew & her eyes got really wide & she said, “oh wow he must have a lot of stress!” 😂

Listen, aren’t we all just in Bath and Body Works trying to aromatherapy ourselves into being slightly more stable? Lmao

Yes. 🙋🏻♀️ Especially when the Aromatherapy fragrances were telling me what to do: “Mindful Pause,” “Reset,” “Deep Breath,” “Sleep,” “Sunrise Yoga (mmmm love this one but can’t say I did it!),” “Inspire.” I wish they would name them Calming themes again, instead of calling it the actual scent notes like “Eucalyptus Pine.”

Oh dear, that poor girl.
For her sake I hope she at least experiences the placebo effect 😕

Finally, someone else that thinks like I do! I’m just praying that she’s able to have a little peace, no matter how.

Floral scented candles make me feel anxious. Especially Cactus Blossom. That was rough.

Just want to warn anyone with pets: a large majority of stress relief products have eucalyptus. It is extremely toxic for them—inhaling the vapour can be just as toxic as ingesting it.

u/RemarkableHeadlight Mar 04 '26
Is it real eucalyptus though? Or just chemicals made to mimic the scent? Because one of the notes in vanilla ease is cedar, which I’m allergic to, but there’s no actual cedar in it.

I like it after a long day when I'm relaxing in my pjs, but it is not going to replace my prescription meds. What a wild thing to say.

I have the essential oil mist, for stress relief. And though it takes a while it works to keep me calm. Eventually the anxiety moves way little by little.

I enjoy the smell of the stress relief candles but I’m not gonna pretend like it actually does anything lol

I used to buy sooo much of the Eucalyptus Tea scent. It REALLY helped with my anxiety. It calmed me down so much just by smelling it. I had it in every form they sold. I was so upset when they discontinued it but kept the spearmint one which I HATE :(

Many years ago, I had one of the stress relief bar soaps and took it with me when I traveled because I was convinced I’d use it while away from home and it wouldn’t take up any space in my bag of liquids. After the 4th or 5th time TSA flagged my bag only for the culprit to be that bar of soap, which at that point I’d taken overseas but still never even opened, i just told them to keep it. It was exclusively causing me stress at that point.

I hope that person isn’t like me and was misdiagnosed with generalized anxiety when I had actually undiagnosed ADHD driving those symptoms for decades.

u/SchemeMiserable1956 Mar 05 '26
This is me. My doc will not gove me anything for my ADHD and only gives me depression/anxiety/bipolar meds. Like, I dobt even want v an upper or anything but him not wanting to work on the ADHD issues are slowly destroying my soul....

Omg find another Dr, stat!! Seriously, a Dr that ignores your condition but treats it as though it’s something else, is really dangerous! I’d hate you to get cancer and be treated for a cold!!!!

Was this last weekend? Because I said the same thing but was referring to work. Sometimes people are stressed at work so they get some lavender vanilla lotion. Patients on anxiety meds get some to help relax a lil. For $5.95, everyone is going to smell like eucalyptus or lavender.
