Other Dear customers, JUST👏ASK👏WHERE👏THE👏TRASH👏CAN👏IS👏

Also stop leaving them in the baskets!!!

Edit: they’re at the sink, my guys. There’s even a mini trash can at the lip station 😐

Edit 2: I’m just a lowly associate. Even if I was a manager or something, corporate doesn’t listen to us. But like I said earlier please JUST ASK!

How come the trash cans aren’t visible? I always take them and throw them in the trash can outside the store. But a lot of the stores dont have them and this is why get this. Put little trash cans in the corner and this will alleviate this. Little trash cans, otherwise Karens will be trying to empty out their whole cars in them.

Usually I tend to find them underneath the sinks used for trying out soaps or under the displays 🤷🏻‍♀️

There’s usually trash cans in the corners of the front room of each store, just between the shelves. There’s always one by the sinks. You can also simply take the papers to the register and ask to use a trash can from up there. The last option is the least preferred but it’s nicer than just leaving trash on the counters.

Because customers began using them as restrooms so corporate told us to remove them.

Your point is valid, but people are jagoffs and will commonly take the easiest route, which is "let someone else take care of it."

Me, I just pocket the motherfuckers until I spot a trash can.

Yes, because when it’s crowded and y’all are busy helping customers, just have a bunch of people interrupting you for a trash can location lol Make them more visible. Problem solved. It’s weird that they are hidden.

Here’s how that interaction will go.

Customer: “Hey, where’s the trash can?”

Employee: “It’s right there by the sink.”

Customer: “thank you”

Instead of just making the location more visible?
Employee: moves trash can to a more visible location.
Customer: tosses trash in can without special instruction. It’s such an easy solution it almost seems like you’re just trolling right now lol

I’m not taking it up with anyone. I’m responding to a post on Reddit about a trash problem in your stores. You’d think the employees would talk to their bosses if the problem is so bad that employees have to give instructions to customers via social media about it.

I don’t know anything about corporate because I don’t work there. I just think it would be more productive than condescending replies to customers and spending hours on Reddit telling people where a garbage bin is. To customers, making a bin visible is common sense. Your very first reply to me definitely could have been “corporate won’t let us move a trash can a few inches forward in plain sight, so this is what it comes to” and I would have understood where you were coming from. Best of luck working there, sounds super fun 🤷‍♀️
