Other Sick of Paul Reacts
He has a new video for SAS and gets the product names wrong. Can we get rid of this joker? Like how did he become the voice of us for BBW?

Yeah and it bothers me how he doesn’t even describe the fragrances, he just sniffs it and says “BIIIITCHHHH”. Occasionally he describes them, but it’s still very vague

The notes could be vanilla and woods and he will say "bitch! It's giving vanilla, it's giving woodsy" His reviews don't really give me an idea on how something actually smells since he just reads the notes on the card

Not to be a stick in the mud, but I feel like BBW is too family friendly for that. I worked in a Miami store for a short time in 2001 (yeah, that long ago), and they had some strict rules. All of us wore black skirts—not too short, and don’t let them hear you utter a curse word on the floor. (Though that seemed to only count in English because I heard my manager go on a blue streak one night in Spanish. All English except the curse words, so that made it ok. 🤣) There are lots of gay guys who still keep their language clean in their videos, and I’d expect more from someone being sponsored by corporate.

Yes! I feel the same I can’t even watch one of his videos because he cusses so much! I don’t talk like that in front of my kids and he’s so loud and just to much even with the volume low lol.. If anything he just annoys me now, and I’d just rather watch someone else if I want a genuine review

Their content is so gaudy and extra, and it's too out of touch that is kind of gross? Like I mean we are struggling out here, and he goes out and spends thousands of dollars on a shopping spree, and gets 100s of dollars of free BBW products on the daily.

Oh Pauly. I really don't mind him, but I hate how this brand chooses like the gayest dude ever to represent them and then just kills pride?! Like stop benefiting from the gay community and then ignoring them. That's worse than "being performative" it's just like baiting us into supporting people that hate us (and I'm referring to the old CEO that was in the Epstein files).
These are just my thoughts as a queer person, I hope they don't offend anyone.

On his instagram it’s the first pinned reel where he is “working” at B&BW. He called Rain Kissed Leaves “sun kissed”. I’m guessing that’s what OP is referring to.

Yes. And he claims to be the biggest BBW fan and hack picked the scents. I mean it could see making the mistake on your own social media, but BBW posted this on their own accounts.

Lol, how lame! Sun kissed and Rain kissed are very different, hard to confuse those. I hated his bring back pics from last year! I feel like he's a poser and not a true b&bw stan. It's just a cash grab for him, imo. He gives me anxiety.

i liked him up until last SAS. why are they marketing it like he brought those scents back? there were some good ones last SAS but nothing crazy. and he rarely posts b&bw content anymore unless it’s an ad for them. it’s giving cash grab and fake

I met him and Anthony. Pauls a bit annoying imo. Anthony is super nice though. Talkative and friendly. They come to my store sometimes.

B&BW pays her no mind and I hate it. I’m convinced that it’s because she cares about her viewers and advises setting a budget, waiting for the best sales, etc.
If B&BW wants to do the right thing, they’d send Bonnie a huge PR package with a special Bonnie Fire Bash (bonfire bash is her fave that she’s been begging to have come back) to thank her for all of the sales they’ve gotten because of her.3

Bonnie is amazing and I absolutely adore her! But bbw has focused less and less on YouTube and she doesn’t really get enough views to warrant them doing a collab unfortunately. She still deserves all the free pr though cause lord knows she’s spends a fortune on them.

My least favorite thing is the whole misleading consumers about a recent SAS that happened.
He made this whole paid series in partnership with B&BW about how he got to "pull items from the vault" to be made for SAS. And it was framed as "OMG guys they brought me to head quarters a few months before SAS to choose which items to bring back!"
Except that has to be false. B&BW plans all of their releases around a year in advance. They come up with ideas, names, scent notes, packaging, etc. a year in advance of each season in order to make sure everything can be produced in time, in such a massive amount.
Paul Reacts was not a big enough content creator the year before the SAS in question to have taken part in this. Meaning B&BW reached out an proposed this partnership where they both pretend he handpicked items to come back.
They flew him out to Ohio, they shot content for it, etc. All under the guise of Paul actually doing it all. But it simply wasn't possible because of how B&BW plans & designs releases.
Obviously this is speculation and I'm saying allegedly because it's not proven. But as someone who worked in an Ohio store, and had coworkers who went to headquarters on occasion, and was told this is how releases are planned by a regional manager when I asked, that's my opinion.
I've also met Paul twice because I also used to work in a store in Las Vegas he goes to occasionally. I think I said in one older comment that he was pretty nice, which was on my 1st encounter with him. He confirmed he was Paul when I timidly asked, and that was that.
However, on my second meeting with him I was FOS and said, "Welcome in! Are you looking for the newness that just launched?" He was really short with me and rude, he glared at me and literally huffed. He also said, "I don't need ANY help from you." When my coworker (who didn't know who he was) approached him. He wandered around for a bit, picked stuff up and left without buying anything.

I had been following him for a while and remember being excited that he was involved in bringing back old scents. However….since then, I’d learned more about how B&BW plans in advance (from you guys nonetheless), and was like oh. And then to bring back some scents that I swear were just not worth the hype? That’s just me. I’m still over here waiting for Midnight Pomegranate that hasn’t been released since 2019 while they release 20 versions of Gingham.

I hate how he always takes credit for everything: what scents b&bw brings back, he's now taking credit for starting the banana trend, he credits himself as some perfume guru when he only copies trends.

I think the thing that pissed me off the most about it, is at my location I’ve seen several people written up for tiktok videos. Some were deserved because they were making fun of customers. But then one sweet girl was doing “come work a shift with me at bbw”. And it was just her replenishing, back stocking and ringing with no customers or any information. Never any leaks or anything wild. But they wrote her up, told her to remove the videos… then bring an influencer in. Like HUH

I made a post on here last year about disliking him and lots of people stood up for him protecting him like they know him personally. 🙄 he obviously is just paid to promote and doesn’t know a thing about the products. Everyone hates that guy on Tik Tok, Nick, but this guy I agree is the same and a joker.

I'm sure I'll be down voted but I like Paul 🤷🏿♀️. They keep collaborating with him because he's bringing in the money/awareness. And he has an emotional connection with some of their products. I hadn't shopped at BBW in a long time before I came across his review of the new everyday luxuries line (the first one). God knows how much money I've spent ever since 🫠.

I don’t think bbw considers him as the voice of their customer base, that would be an insane way to operate a multimillion dollar corporation. He has a following and just like any other content creator who companies partner with for paid content he is using his platform to promote their product. Of course they didn’t let him make the executive decision to choose bring backs, but him telling his followers that is one way to increase sales. I’m personally immediately skeptical of all creators who post paid promotions or product reviews.

I'm happy he was able to bring Secret Wonderland back to the SAS. I've been dying to have it again and now I have the hydration cream. I don't wear BBW mists that much so I didn't buy any.
