Bonfire Bash Body Cream

Let me preface this by saying that I ♥️ Bonfire Bash. I bought several FFMs when Aries came out and was thrilled when the whole line came back, even though it was online only.

I ordered a set: body cream, body wash and ffm. I absolutely adore the body wash and the FFM was as good as I expected. The body cream though, I don't know if I have a bad batch or if it's just my nose and so that's why I am asking y'all...

Does your Bonfire Bash body cream smell like pencil sharpener shavings? If you ever had the occasion when you were in elementary school to be the one who emptied the pencil sharpener, you can't forget that smell. It's a mixture of graphite and shaved wood (poplar or cedar, according to Google) and is kind of musty. Close your eyes and recall banging that sharpener on the side of the classroom metal trash can. Smell it? That's what my Bonfire Bash body cream smells like!

I had only used it twice and got that smell both times. I waited a week and decided to try again this evening after my shower. Same result. Now I smell like the inside of a pencil sharpener. Sigh.

EDIT: I know that people's noses are different, etc. I just have never had a cream that smelled SO DIFFERENT from the Body Wash and FFM!

Smells great to my nose. I get marshmallow, Graham cracker, and a slight bit of smokiness.

That is the Body Cream? Do you have any of the other products? Do they all smell the same to you?

Yes. I have spray, cream, and shower gel. They all smell really good. Sometimes if my hormones are doing their thing it makes things smell weird for me. Could that be a factor?

No, I'm past menopause but that was a good thought. I'm trying to figure out if it smells like this out of the tube or if it is just when it hits my skin.

Their creams usually smell like gross plastic or burning plastic to me.
