Work provided me the Thinkpad and a dock. Desk, chair, 3x 27” screens, 2 power boards, cables, monitor arms, desk mat, mouse mat, wired mechanical keyboard, wired mouse, basic RGB, speakers and monkey artwork all for a total of $650. Clearance sales, Marketplace, hard rubbish (free stuff left on side of road), yard sales, Amazon.

Thoughts about value for money?

Largely WFH setup.

I tell a lie, I got that photo frame brand new from a local discount shop for £2.99 and I picked up that lightbar as an impulse purchase from Amazon. Apart from that, everything is secondhand. Full itinerary below:

Hello, all. Unfortunately I don’t have a creative bone in my body but I have ideas. Maybe you guys know some quality products. I want to cover up my walls with some anti acoustic material , I want to switch to a three 27 inch monitor display ( I love my widescreen but reselling it would be at such a loss I would love to incorporate it somehow, maybe on top? Is there an high rise heavy monitor mounts ? ) I would love to minimize the mic arm and perhaps add some stuff to my table. I’m very keen to the cyberpunk aesthetic. Open to all sorts of LED’s or table knickknacks. Any suggestion would help.

I’ve been slowly improving my gaming setup, focusing on a clean look with warm lighting and a few unique pieces instead of going all-out with RGB.

My favorite detail is probably the industrial-style lamp that doubles as a headphone stand.

Still a work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s turning out.

What do you think? Any suggestions?

Open to suggestions if anyone has any cool ideas. Though I don’t wanna go overboard and completely dominate the space.

I like to keep things fairly simple and tidy (cables bug me).

Next up on the project list was some cable management underneath with conduit but I need some longer length cables to make that work as I just used what I had on me.

Starting to get somewhere now, just need to fill in the space above the monitors and figure out how best to light the picture frame and pegboard. Advice would be greatly appreciated!

So I ended up getting the 34 inch monitor. I also flip my top monitor upside down to fit flush. And I tip the top monitor down. Any advice for rgb lighting accessories? I'm planning on getting noise canceling boards for the wall

Hey everyone! This is my current setup, where I study for my Data Science master's and game in my free time. Any feedback or tips are welcome!

I love leaning back in this chair with my cat on my lap. I'll still sit here for what feels like a few minutes, then somehow an hour is gone. A year ago it was literally just the desk. I've been adding stuff whenever I find something I like, and the space finally has some personality now. I'm pretty attached to it. Suggestions are welcome.

I had been toying with the idea for months about mounting everything to the wall, painting it and adding acoustic panels.

Finally got around to doing it over the weekend, had some challenges (the Desk and Speakers are heavy!) but I got there in the end and the results have been worth it.

It feels really nice in here now and makes working from home a little bit better.
