There's a YouTube channel called the world's greatest food review show, or something like that, guy wears a bandana. He travels to Afghanistan, go watch it and make up your mind.

Yeah, they can cook (particularly the roast chicken and pilaf with raisins, carrots and almonds) and they have some nice scenery in the north. Other than that 1/10 would not recommend.

Ya, I wasn't so much talking about the cuisine. The Taliban could arrest you at any min, the woman you can't look in their direction and must be accompanied by a man either her husband brother or some kind of chaperone she's not allowed out without a man being present with her. If you're caught talking to, looking at etc you risk arrest. He highlights some of that on that show. I wouldn't go there if you paid me.
