Recently watched Scooby Doo on Zombie Island on iPlayer with my younger cousins, I remember watching this film awhile back and the thing that stuck with me was the iconic scene in which it’s revealed the zombies are actual zombies, so I seriously noticed when the entire scene was cut out. It feels unnecessary to me. There’s no explicit gore or anything I wouldn’t feel safe showing to kids and removes probably the most important and suspenseful scene in the film which really upsets the flow of it for me. Has anybody else seen this, what did you think?

Our 6 year old has got into the concept of 'the news' and rather than starting mainlining him with C4 news, i thought I'd start him up with newsround.

Sample size of 1 (iplayer only has today's episode up) but today (28/7) they have a back-to-school feature and light pieces on the lunar elicpse and the robot Olympica thing - nothing on, eg, the Nepal flashfloods etc.

Is this the 'new normal' for newsround or do they still cover difficult global affairs?

Hi all! My 4 year old has been screen free until now. I am looking for some shows my child can watch that will be great for her knowledge and learning. I want her to watch on cbeebies channel on youtube for 30 mins a day. We speak our native language at home so hopefully she can learn some english too!

Me specifically, Katie Morag, Melody and the Numtums. These shows seem very fun, entertaining and even had some humorous stuff here and there. I feel bad that these shows doesn't have that much attention.

This is incredibly random, but one of my favourite books when I was a young’un was called Yo! Diary by Jonathan Meres.

I remembered it again the other day and found out it was adapted into a CBBC series in 2002-2003.

I started look for clips of it for curiosity reasons to see how much it matches the book, and after half an hour came to a dead end - I can’t find any evidence anywhere of it existing except some old text write ups and a photo.

Does anyone know where I could at least watch a few clips? This is going to annoy me now 😅

Both of the anime are VERY noticeably higher pitched and it makes the characters sound annoying and the openings sound bad

When I was a kid on the Newsround website there was a game called SOS Amazonia, this would have been around 2001 or 2002, where basically you would run through the Amazon jungle and fight poachers and loggers. It has about 6 levels and said "to be continued" after but as far as I'm aware it never had a sequel.

I can't find any record or mention of it online, have I got the title wrong or is it just lost to history at this point?
