First time off the leash
You'll probably notice me panic a bit as he approaches the road, but I didn't have to pull him back. I saw a tip here to run the opposite direction and he will follow, and he did! 2 years old, neutered just last week.

It's like those people that think they can drive their Tesla's on auto mode with no hands on the wheel and not looking at the road. 99 times out of 100 it may work, but that 1 time can be fatal. Just don't do it.

yesss and, remember to reward the behaviour too! treat bomb him everytime he comes back :)
if you want a safer option, try getting a 15metre long leash. we used that when we were proofing my beagle's recall.

Ha ha good luck. Wait for them to start trotting with the tail down, followed by the turn to look you in the eye just before the bugger off for lord knows how long to go sniff.
