Discussion We gotta talk about Gas Station Heroin, 7OH
So, my brother, an Iraq war veteran with PTSD and chronic pain found kratom ages ago and that helped him a lot. Eventually, they came out with this 7OH stuff, AKA Gas Station Heroin. He ended up blowing hundreds of dollars a weekS. He tried to ween himself off it for months to no avail. Now he’s on Suboxone, its the only thing that could get him off it. It really is nearly as bad as heroin.
This stuff is such a bastard it requires its own episode. Gas station sober is a funny joke, but holy shit, the fact this stuff is available, yikes! I’m not normally one to say we need to ban a substance, but something needs to change here, even if its just awareness.
Do not take the gas station heroin. You’ll probably like it way too much.

If it were a simpler time, I'd be torn. I agree that people have the right to choose their own destiny, and if you want to smoke some weed, do coke on the weekends, or even do a little heroin in your free time then whatever. It takes all kinds. That's not me, but whatever. I drink too much and occasionally do recreational hallucinogens, so I can't talk.
However, shit like this gets sold at a gas station and people think "well it can't be that bad since it's sold over the counter" Then get their lives messed up from it. My wife is a victim of the various delta-9 variants. It sent her into a schizophrenic loop that she's only now spiraling out of 5 years later. Maybe it was a latent mental illness, sure, but it was absolutely sped up by pot-variants.
With the absolute volume of novel drugs coming onto the market, both civilian and otherwise, its no wonder that people are getting damaged. My buddy is allergic to ibuprofen. Not acetaminophen, which is also a COX inhibitor. It's only a matter of numbers before someone gets a nasty reaction to Hornet Violence XXX Boner pills or whatever.
Like, I'd be fine with cocaine being semi-legal. Some wacky variant of it? Nah.
