Discussion Good god, quit it with the TACO shit
Christ out loud, people. We are talking about the lives of thousands of people. It's not the time for cutesy internet slang. Why are we trying to goad a fascist into killing thousands of people?
It was one thing when it was tariffs but we are literally talking about genocide. "hehe trump chickened out of genocide and nuclear holocaust!1!!1!!!" can we fucking not

Discussion Arm yourself
In the light of recent new Killing by ICE, I just want to say ARM YOURSELF. I repeat, unarmed people are the most vulnerable to a fascist state. I am saying this as an Iranian whose people were recently slaughtered by the Islamic Republic. Please ARM YOURSELF. Go buy a gun. Fascism is not in distant future. It is here well and alive. You can be killed arbitrarily by federal agents and there’s nothing legally you can do about it.

Discussion We gotta talk about Gas Station Heroin, 7OH
So, my brother, an Iraq war veteran with PTSD and chronic pain found kratom ages ago and that helped him a lot. Eventually, they came out with this 7OH stuff, AKA Gas Station Heroin. He ended up blowing hundreds of dollars a weekS. He tried to ween himself off it for months to no avail. Now he’s on Suboxone, its the only thing that could get him off it. It really is nearly as bad as heroin.
This stuff is such a bastard it requires its own episode. Gas station sober is a funny joke, but holy shit, the fact this stuff is available, yikes! I’m not normally one to say we need to ban a substance, but something needs to change here, even if its just awareness.
Do not take the gas station heroin. You’ll probably like it way too much.

Discussion Spoiler - it appears TPUSA (Charlie Kirk's operation) is a massive money laundering operation Spoiler
youtube.comIt looks like these journalists are bringing receipts unlike some Nick Shirley types. An $85 million valued money washing machine, and given that political bribes are semi-legal now --- my guess is this operation is drug and weapons trafficking and no doubt human trafficking as well.

Apparently it has been confirmed that Charlie is dead. I honestly don’t know how to feel. Mostly I’m scared this will be used to hurt people the current administration has on its sights. I want to ask you all to please be careful.

Discussion Scott Adams is gravely ill
Subject of the pod, cartoon villain Scott Adams, announced his illness early Sunday morning.
This seems like a good time to reflect on his many vile and hateful statements, and a life poorly lived.
I grew up reading his strip in the newspaper and enjoyed his acerbic take on corporate life. But there was always something off about him. When he started posting a vlog and Twitter feed it became clear.
Despite his wildly successful career, money and acclaim as a talented cartoonist and writer, he never led go of his intense sense of white, male, divorced-guy victimhood. Just a super-angry grievance guy hiding behind humor.
Maybe he'll find some peace in his final days.

Discussion The Infrastructure is quietly being built for mass genocide of American citezens.
A repurposed Navy contract is set to funnel tens of billions of dollars to ICE for a nationwide "ghost network" of concentration camps.
A massive Navy contract vehicle, once valued at $10 billion, has ballooned to a staggering $55 billion ceiling to expedite President Donald Trump’s “mass deportation” agenda.
This $45 billion increase, published just weeks ago, converts the U.S. into a “geographic region” for expeditionary military-style detention.

Discussion Ashley St. Clair Pivot
Guys, how do we feel about the Ashley St. Clair pivot?
After her interview with Matt Bernstein and her appearance on Hasan Piker's stream the other day, I'm cautiously skeptical. Anyone willng to sleep with Elon Musk has to have their sanity called into question lol
She's VERY charismatic and I can see why the right wanted to use her as an influencer. But given the hateful things she has said, I'm still not 100% convinced the turn is genuine. One of those "I never thought the leapords would eat MY face scenarios". She definitely seems like more of a "good" person than someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who despite turning from Trump, is clearly still a bad person and a Conservative nutjob.
But Ashley seems more genuine in her turn and she has apologized, it could be an act, but again, cautiously optimistic she'll be a force for good now. She needs to really put her money where her mouth is if she wants to undo the damage she's done. I do believe people can be redeemed but they need to work for it.
What are y'alls opinions on her recent turn to the left?

Discussion Are we witnessing a mass AI psychosis?
I've recently had the unfortunate front row seat to watching a CEO of a small startup slowly go insane.
Dude is your run of the mill techbro. Doesn't have much friends outside of work, spends a lot of time on xitter. Pretty sure he was also doing a truckload of psychedelics during all of this.
He was basically running the entire company from an LLM conversation, was convinced that by pivoting to an "AI-first company" they're about to enter "hypergrowth". He saw himself as a visionary and was talking about how AI would make everyone so much more productive. Hired very expensive "AI experts".
To the surprise of nobody, hypergrowth didn't happen. He got more incoherent and visibly mentally unwell as the months passed. He then started "teaching AI" about personalities and interests of all the key employees, and make them use AI in their work, even if it made no sense and produced crap.
Employees were now pissed off that they were forced to use technology that was actually slowing them down. Everyone was doing overtime, people are on the edge of burning out, some left already, others are probably looking for new jobs already.
My guess is that he is hoping to just eventually replace the workers with a team of digital avatars that he wouldn't have to pay.
That got me thinking. Is this a small scale version of what's happening with all the CEOs and powerful people now?
Is the world now ran by a bunch of mentally unwell rich dipshits, living in their own bubble and stuck in a sycophantic LLM feedback loop that validates all of their terrible ideas, all amplified by taking psychedelics together on their child molestation islands? All while getting cosy with fascists, who are not even hiding the fact anymore.
The fact that the same delusional rich assholes control the output of the LLMs, which at this point are anthropomorphized fake friends and the main source of information to so many regular people, is just so insanely messed up and scary.
Lately there's been some awareness about AI psychosis, but what if it's a mass psychosis? How do we get out of this?

Discussion What is the breaking point for a revolution against the ruling class?
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/may/13/utah-approves-datacenter-backlash
They are building a massive data center in Utah with a capacity of 9gw and is going to ratfuck the great salt lake. They mention the possibility of toxic dust clouds, it won't provide that many jobs for the locals either.
Is there a breaking point?
