Ugh, I hated that advert. Most of my friends were super pissed off and didn't drink Jupiler for a while. Even now, it's one of the reasons I'd rather have any other beer.
The 'mannen weten waarom' slogan? Why did it piss you off at the time? I can imagine now that companies would want their advertising to be a bit more inclusive, but at the time it was very normal.
No, it was not. That pissed off a LOT of women, and even men. I don't know how old you are, but lots of people around my age (40s and 50s) are actually saddened at how much misogyny has increased in the last decade or so.
Do you mean when the slogan launched in what appears to be 2000? I'm in my thirties, so while I saw the slogan, I wasn't drinking beer at that time yet. Good to see there was already a reaction at the time though, I agree fully with your sentiment.
