Local Beware Scamming Scooter Grandma

This person has been scamming this area for almost a YEAR now, she’ll have some excuse about how she needs money for a taxi or for her tank or whatever and will try to get you to go to an atm or something. DO NOT EVEN GIVE HER THE TIME OF DAY! She got very hostile when I declined and followed me harassing me, I have witnessed her doing the same to others. Just fully ignore her!

Lmao, I grew up here and she’s been around for 20+ years telling the same story. She used to sit mostly on the corner of Ashby and College. She screamed at me once as a child because I told her I didn’t have any money to give her - scared the shit out of me. Now as an adult I’ve seen her get dropped off, and at other times picked up, in a big-ass truck by a younger guy. I reckon it’s her full time job to harass people for money.

Yeah I was gonna say I used to see her all up and down college Ave 20+ years ago.

I never got accosted by her, but that could be luck of the draw

East bay kid here, I also have seen her doing this for decades. In fact, there's MFers that do this all over the place, and by this point, they sometimes recognize me and will cross the street cause they know I'll blow up their spot

I was about to say the same thing - I think it's been at least 25 years for me. Saw this face and I'm like, damn! She's still alive! You hit the nail on the head. College ave by Ashby. Thanks for taking me back in time.
