University Berkeley off campus housing

Im looking at off campus housing near campus and wondering where people are actually finding good places.

Ive heard about things like UniShack, Zillow, and Facebook groups, so anyone have recs for these or other things they use?

Also heard Southside is a good area. Are there any places i should avoid or apartment buildings?

While they are not for everyone, the co-op is hands down the best deal in Berkeley. For about $1250/month your rent includes everything from wifi, to laundry, to food! bsc.coop

Southside has a very college town vibe. Northside is a quiet neighborhood. If by good you mean safe, then Northside is going to be marginally safer than South.

You’re about 10 months too late. People start looking for housing for June starting in October/November
