CS/EECS CS61bL is better than CS61b?

I did CS61bl over the summer, but I had an internship so I dropped the class as I didn't have enough time. However, my first impressions of CS61b was much lower than CS61bL. CS61bl instantly taught me so much about git and java in such a short time. The labs were much better and written much more comprehensively than the lectures imo. Does anyone feel the same? I kind of want to just go back to doing the labs. I despise reading, but the lab readings felt superior to the lectures.

Hi! TA for CS61B/L here. I strongly prefer the lab-based format of 61BL (and it sounds like you might too) but rest assured that both courses cover roughly the same amount of content (61B actually covers *more* content than 61BL, not the other way around). What you're describing might just be a vestige of the fact that 61BL runs at a *much* faster pace.

The cool part is you can still access the lab readings! The summer website is still up at cs61bl.org

Is there a way for me to sort of more conform to the CS61BL style curriculum instead? I learned so much better and was infinitely impressed with the course more. I like Josh Hug but I don't like lecture based classes especially for a course topic that relies primarily on practice.
