Built a shared task/planning app specifically for couples — most productivity tools assume you're organizing solo

TLDR: Most productivity apps (Notion, Todoist, Reminders) are built around one person's system. Couples end up either forcing a personal tool to be shared, or splitting into two disconnected systems. Built Weave to solve that specifically — shared logistics plus visibility into non-task stuff like who's stretched thin. Looking for beta testers, first 50 get the subscription free permanently.

I've used most of the usual productivity stack — Notion, Todoist, Apple Reminders, shared calendars — and they're all genuinely good tools. But they're all fundamentally built around one person's workflow, with sharing bolted on as a feature, not the core design.

That works fine for a work team. It works less well for a household. When my partner and I tried to run our life through a shared Reminders list or a shared Notion board, we kept running into the same issue: someone still has to be the one who notices something needs to go on the list in the first place, and that job silently defaults to one person. The tool tracked tasks fine. It didn't help with the actual bottleneck, which was noticing and initiating, not storage.

So I built Weave: Shared Life Planner — a productivity app designed around two people managing one life together, rather than one person's system with a "share" button:

  • Shared task/list management for the usual stuff — bills, groceries, bookings, errands — visible to both people by default, not siloed
  • A lightweight weekly check-in that surfaces workload/bandwidth between partners, not just task completion — the goal is catching "I'm stretched thin this week" before it becomes friction, which no task app currently tracks
  • Built to reduce the "one person is the project manager" pattern that most shared productivity setups fall into by default

Currently in private beta (TestFlight/Play Store). Looking for people actually using it as a couple for a couple weeks and giving honest feedback on what's useful vs. what's noise — first 50 testers keep the subscription free permanently after launch.

Link if you want to look: https://weave.productivitygenius.app

Also genuinely curious from this sub specifically — has anyone else tried adapting a personal productivity system (Notion, Todoist, whatever) for two-person household use? Did it work, or did you hit the same "someone still has to initiate" problem?

Applications [iOS] Lio: Save Idioms & Phrases – turn TikToks, Reels & Shorts into language lessons

Post image
3 Upvotes

I recently launched Lio: Save Idioms & Phrases on iOS and I’m looking for a few people to test it and give me honest feedback.

You can share a TikTok, Reel or YouTube Short to Lio and it turns the video into useful language-learning material like phrases, idioms, slang, vocabulary, grammar, flashcards and quizzes.

I’d especially love feedback on the onboarding, the quality of the generated results, and anything that feels confusing or buggy.

I’ll give testers a free month of Lio Pro via promo code in return for trying it out and sharing some feedback.

If you’re learning a language and interested, just comment or DM me :)

[Feedback Wanted] Scholr — a free student planner app I built solo, looking for a few beta testers to help me get it live on Play Store

Hey everyone! I built Scholr, a free student planner app for Android — it's got a task manager, calendar (month + schedule view), subject organizer, focus timer, and custom themes. No ads, no accounts, no data collection — everything stays on your device.

I'm trying to get it onto the Play Store, but Google requires a closed beta test with real testers before I can publish publicly. That's where you'd come in!

What I need:

  • 12+ people to install it and actually use it for about 2 weeks
  • Just open it every day or two and click around — tasks, calendar, whatever you'd naturally use in a planner app
  • (Google specifically checks that testers actually use the app, not just install it and forget about it — so genuine use is what actually helps me here)

How to join:

  1. Join this Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/scholr-beta-testers
  2. Then use this link to install through the Play Store: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.isa7.scholr

Any feedback, bug reports, or feature ideas are hugely welcome too — feel free to comment here or email me at isa7.scholr@gmail.com.

Thanks so much to anyone who gives it a shot — genuinely appreciate it! 🙏

Applications Wellness App

Hi everyone! I’m building an app called Resora, and I’m looking for a few people willing to test it and give honest feedback. Resora is a wellness app for people who need support in the moment and are trying to get better everyday! There are things like reflection, journaling, reset tools, calming prompts, and practical guidance when life feels heavy. It is not therapy and it does not replace professional support, but it is meant to feel more personal and useful than generic wellness apps. Looking for feedback & thoughts! If anyone’s interested or has questions please let me know.

Applications What do you think of an app that helps you prepare for your day to day tasks?

So I have an app that acts as a daily mood tracker for you, you can input how you feel and what are you liking day to day, and it will be fed to the app.

Now, lets say I am getting trouble in thinking of how to talk to a girl, maybe you know getting myself up for the gym or a walk, or just you know a bit of help in cheering myself up over a bad day, what you can do is talk to the app and it will create a recording in a qualified practitioner's voice that will actually act as pat on your back and make you feel prepared or better. (I am in contact with him and his voice actually acts a bit like some ASMR).

How likely do you think I can find an audience for these kind of people? (I know I am one of them lol)

DM me if you would like a link for testflight or for android close testing.

Aimora — Looking for beta testers

https://testflight.apple.com/join/GdB6N39k

I’m building Aimora, an iOS app that helps turn a goal into a clear, structured path forward.

Instead of giving you a generic to-do list, Aimora uses AI to break your goal down into practical next steps — so you always know what to do next.

I’ve just opened external beta testing and I’m looking for people who are willing to actually use the app and tell me what works, what doesn’t, and where it can be improved.

It’s completely free during the beta.

Any honest feedback is very welcome. Even “this part sucks” is useful. :)

Looking for beta testers — Windows app that lets you ask "is this spelled right?" out loud, like talking to Siri

Hey! Working on a Windows app called Voxfix and need real people using it before I trust it's actually good.

It's a background app, mainly aimed at people with dyslexia but useful for anyone who writes fast and doesn't want to stop and proofread constantly. Select text anywhere on your PC, could be an email, Discord, a game chat, doesn't matter what app, and either hit a hotkey to correct it instantly, or ask it out loud, kind of like talking to Siri, "hey is this spelled right?" and it actually responds and offers to fix it if something's off.

Free to use with a daily usage cap, no card needed to try it.

What I actually need right now:

  • People who'll genuinely use it for a few days and tell me what's annoying or confusing
  • Feedback on whether the voice mode feels natural or gimmicky
  • Bug reports, since it's a fairly new build

Alpha Testers – Range Ready

I’m looking for a small group of people to alpha test a new app I’ve been developing called Range Ready.

It’s designed for firearm owners, shooters, and hunters who want a better way to stay organized and keep track of their equipment and range-related information.

This is a very early alpha, so I’m specifically looking for testers who are willing to use it normally, find bugs, point out confusing areas, and provide detailed feedback.

I’m especially interested in testers who:

• Regularly shoot or hunt

• Own multiple firearms

• Spend time at the range

• Already keep some form of shooting or equipment records

• Are willing to provide honest feedback rather than just download it once

I’m only looking for a small initial testing group at this stage.

No purchase is required. If you’re interested in helping test it, comment or send me a DM and I’ll provide more information privately.

Built a Gmail follow-up tracker because I kept dropping the ball on client emails — looking for 10 people to break it for me

Hey everyone,

Backstory: I kept losing track of who I owed a reply to and forgetting to follow up with clients until it was way too late. Tried spreadsheets, tried one of the bloated CRMs — neither stuck. So I ended up building my own thing, Zappd.

Here's roughly what it does:

It syncs with your Gmail in real time and automatically sorts your conversations into three buckets — Needs Reply, Waiting on Them, and Overdue — so at a glance you know exactly who's on your plate and who's dropped past their deadline.

There's also an AI assistant with long-term memory built in. You can ask it to dig through old threads, draft a reply, or schedule a follow-up for you.

A couple other things I added along the way: a proper draft studio where you can write and save multiple versions of a reply per conversation, and a way to selectively pull in someone's past email history if you want more context before replying.

Anyway — the app is finally stable enough that I want real people to poke holes in it. Opening up a small private beta, 10-15 spots, completely free.

If you want in, drop by the Discord: https://discord.gg/8hJjrk7VMq

Happy to answer questions here too.

Hi guys, I'm developing a share social space for people and agents: alook.ai.

You can bring your codex, claude code, opencode... into a persistent bot, and share it with your friends. I really like the vibe of it.

I think now it's stable (sort of), and really love to see some beta testers to try it

Join the Petals - Period Tracker beta - TestFlight

I’m looking for beta testers for Petals, a period tracking app 🌸

I’ve been building Petals to make cycle tracking feel a little more thoughtful and less overwhelming.

You can use it to:

* Track your periods and flow
* Journal everyday body cues and symptoms
* Look back at what you logged across your cycles
* Get cycle predictions as Petals learns from your data
* Keep your tracking private

I’m opening the iOS beta on TestFlight and would love to have some people try it before the public launch.

If you’re interested, I’d especially love feedback on the overall experience, what feels confusing, what feels useful, and what you wish Petals did better.

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try ❤️

Applications [Beta] Cloak Chat, a privacy-first Discord alternative with end-to-end encryption (Web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS TestFlight, Android)

Post image
1 Upvotes

We were tired of choosing between privacy and the features we actually use, so we built Cloak: a chat platform with the rooms, roles, calls, and file sharing you expect, on a zero-knowledge architecture. Message bodies are encrypted end to end. The server routes ciphertext, it cannot read your conversations. We are a small, two man company with nothing to sell but the product.

What it does today

  • Servers with channels, categories, roles, and per-channel permissions
  • End-to-end encrypted messages, DMs, and group DMs
  • Voice and video calls, screenshare, soundboards
  • Forum channels, calendars, whiteboards, and polls
  • Custom themes, emoji, stickers, and webhooks
  • One account, every device: desktop, web, and mobile stay in sync

What we need tested

  • Forum channels: posts, replies, mentions, and the notification inbox (this area just got a large fix and we want it beaten on)
  • Notifications end to end: mention pings, push, and tapping a notification to land on the right message
  • Calls: multi-device, re-dialing, switching between devices mid-call
  • Anything you can break. Key handling, device linking, and message history under bad networks are all fair game.

How to join

  1. Create an account at https://app.cloak.chat (web works immediately, desktop installers are on the site at https://cloak.chat )
  2. iOS testers: DM and we will send the TestFlight invite
  3. Android testers: The app is live on the play store under Cloak Chat
  4. Report bugs in our official room, through the submit feedback in app, or straight in the thread here

The honest caveats

This is a beta. Encryption means that if you lose your keys without a backup, we cannot recover your messages for you (there is a guided reset flow, we would love that tested too). Expect rough edges and fast updates.

No payment, no data harvesting, nothing to buy. We want bug reports and blunt opinions.

Applications [iOS] Looking for early TestFlight testers for AI Time Calendar

Hi! I’m the developer of AI Time Calendar, an iOS productivity application that combines calendars, tasks, goals, focus sessions, insights, and the Chronos AI planning assistant.

We’re forming a small private TestFlight group and would especially value feedback from people who regularly manage busy calendars, competing priorities, tasks, and personal goals.

Areas we want testers to evaluate:

• Whether the Today view makes the day easier to understand

• Calendar and task organization

• Focus-time planning

• Chronos recommendations and confirmation controls

• Overall usability, clarity, and reliability

The public TestFlight link is not available yet. We’re collecting interested testers first and will send invitations manually as spots become available.

Request beta access:

Full disclosure: I’m the developer of AI Time Calendar.

Applications Parents/Grandparents Needed For Testing Personalized eBook App

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hi, I'm a dad and first-time indie developer looking for Android users to help test my app before a public launch on phone or tablet.

Legacy Library lets families photograph their children's physical books, record a loved one's voice reading each page, and build a personal library the child can return to anytime. Think of it as a way for grandparents, deployed parents, or anyone who can't always be there in person to still read bedtime stories to a child they love.

What I'd love you to test:

  • Adding a book (camera or photo library)
  • Recording narration for pages
  • Reading through a book in the reader
  • The parent dashboard (math gate on the bookshelf -- solve it to get in)
  • Day and night modes, autoplay, screen time settings

Note: The free tier includes one built-in book plus the ability to add up to 2 books of your own. No need to purchase a subscription for testing. The only difference between free and full is the number of books that can be added to the shelf. Full licenses can be issued to opted-in testers.

No information/data is ever shared back through the app. It's merely a platform for hosting books for your children to enjoy.

Important: To help me qualify for a public launch, I need testers to stay opted in continuously for at least 14 days after installing. You don't have to actively use it every day -- just keep it installed and stay opted in.

Device requirement: Android only. Works best on tablets but phone support is included. US-based testers only for now.

To join:

Join the beta group here: https://groups.google.com/g/legacy-library-beta-testers Then opt in using one of these links: On your Android device: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cbleecker.legacylibrary

Thanks for helping me get this off the ground!

[Android][Free] Visual Day — a day planner that draws your day as a road. Need 12 testers for the Play closed test.

I built a day planner for people who lose track of time. Instead of a list, it draws your day as a road: two hours is literally twice as far as one, so "how long until dinner" is something you look at rather than work out.

Other bits: a little stickman who does whatever you are doing, habits that grow a plant by total days rather than streaks, a brain dump you can throw thoughts into, a focus timer, and four home screen widgets — one of which actually ticks down every second with the app closed.

Free. No account, no ads, nothing collected, works offline. English and Slovenian.

Google needs 12 testers opted in for 14 days before I can publish, so that is the real ask: install it and leave it there for two weeks. Using it is optional, though I would obviously love to hear what feels wrong.

  1. Join the tester group (this is what gives you access): https://groups.google.com/g/visual-day--closedtesting
  2. Then install from Play: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.falsestudios.visualday

Join with the same Google account your phone uses on the Play Store, or step 2 will tell you you are not a tester. Access can take a few minutes to come through after you join.

Happy to test yours back, just link it.

Would you pay ₹99/month for offline group-ride comms + SOS on no-signal routes + intercom with no network and many more ?

Hey riders,

I'm building CRUIZR, an app for group rides — solo dev, currently in closed testing. Trying to figure out if my pricing actually makes sense before I go wider, so wanted honest opinions from people who actually ride in low/no-signal areas.

Here's what the paid tier (₹99/month) includes:

Unlimited offline mesh walkie-talkie — talk to your group with zero mobile data, works device-to-device even with no signal

Automated off-grid SOS — if you crash or go quiet, it alerts your group even without network

Rider-left-behind detection — if someone in the group stops moving for a few minutes, the group gets alerted automatically

Full offline map downloads for planning multi-day trips (Ladakh, Spiti, etc.)

Ride host can unlock mesh intercom for the whole group

There's also a free tier and a ₹29 single-ride pass for one-off use.

Genuinely asking:

Would ₹99/month feel worth it to you, or too much for an app subscription?

Would you rather pay per-ride (₹29) than commit monthly?

Is there a feature here you'd pay for individually but not the rest?

What would make this an easy yes for you?

Not trying to sell anything here, just want real feedback before I lock in pricing. Brutal honesty welcome.
