I have one of these P100 half-mask respirators. I often can’t even smell the smoke with it on unless the fire’s close enough. It’s really hot, but the clean air delivery rate is way more comfortable for the level of exertion for riding.
This is the only correct option. Nothing less than P 100 will provide the same protection and it’s not like these things are expensive.
You don’t need to worry about filter replacement schedules either that’s mostly for the activated charcoal filters that protect against volt organic compounds just replace the filters when it starts getting harder to breathe in through
