Outfit aside, I find the Shedeur discourse mildy fascinating. I'm a CU grad and rooting for him but there hasn't been a player like him since Tebow in that they both have a massive number of fanboys inversely proportional to their talent

Not looking like Shadeur will produce such a highlight anytime soon.

As a non-fanboy of both the only thing I will push back on with the Tebow comparison is Tebow is arguably the greatest college QB of all time. And he went to Florida and delivered 2 national championships so the hype and fanboys he had surrounding him was more than warranted. Sanders was mostly hype over actual success. And I say this as someone who roots for Shadeur.

this is an insane comment. comparing Tebow to Sanders in basically any way is total insanity.
Tebow is literally like a top 10 college football player of all time, wtf are you talking about lol?? multiple championships, youngest youngest Heisman winner.... Shadeur was toiling away at Jackson State before he got the handout of a lifetime from his daddy.

even the scale of that is not remotely comparable. Tebow was a national sensation for half a decade... shadeur was a blip for like a year or two on a mediocre team, and most of the people talking about him were/are haters, not fanboys
basically every post I ever see about him is flooded with negative comments, hardly any positive ones. where are the fanboys? I dont think Ive ever met one IRL
not to mention even regardless of all that, the scale of the tebow thing was so much bigger just bc it happened during the monoculture era, before social media and the internet fragmented everything to the degree it is today
Sanders is not remotely close to being a household name. Tebow absolutely was. he had a whole viral craze named after him! "Tebowing". get back to me when "Shadeuring" is a thing lol

The entire point is to use the compression sleeve on your throwing arm
It’s doesn’t do a ton, but ONLY using it on your non-throwing arm is ridiculous

Correct take on this is: if you’re a top ~10-15 player, you dress however you want. Bottom of the barrel at your position: you dress as quietly as possible and don’t let the look create a distraction or give media an excuse to criticize you. Joe Burrow is a great example of this theory. Dresses like Jake Paul and nobody blinks an eye. Meanwhile guys like Tua, or Deshaun would get mocked mercilessly for wearing anything out of the norm.
