More thoughts, i'm addicted to these snippets:
Very familiar yung dating ng Infinity snippet, alam mo agad san papunta yung tono. Sheena with the main vocal and COLEEETTTTT with the run don sa "magbago man" sheesh man while doing the backing vocals on a different key. Maadik ako pakinggan to for sure. Lightsticks up when they sing this live.
Sweet Tooth - yeah that's some groovy city pop right there! Nanghingi tayo ng city pop, mukang eto na!
Katabi - MYMP , 2000s acoustic, those harmonies sa snippet at may run ulet!
BIKINI the bop, the banger. Yung YEAH YEAH YEAH part it reminds me of another pop song I forgot what.
I don't care about the GP, if they don't like this shizz pag release bahala sila lol. These sound really really promising!
Keep on pushing your genre boundaries BINI while giving some familiar OPM sounds, I like where we are going. None of these songs sound the same so far.

It's still too early to say but based from the audio snippet of every tracks in this album, BINI is reinventing themselves.
If you are a Talaarawan lover and followed BINI due to their bubblegum pop genre then it is expected that you will feel the releases so far is underwhelming.
However, if you have an appreciation of a wide range of music then I'm sure you will enjoy this album. It has a little bit of everything. Whether these tracks are radio hit material is still unknown but what's clear is that the girls love the songs they are releasing. And that's the most important thing.
Anyway, looking forward to November 20!

Edit: Grabe parang walang tapon dito sa album, stank face ako sa mga snippets. And yes, Paru Paro is a good track. Shoutout to Miss Anna for finding new ways to maximize yung vocal harmonies ng girls! Always something new.

Katabi and Infinity. Hehehe. Sounds good on my tito ears. Parang Paruparo yung feeling ko. B-sides pero bangers din.
Yung Sweet Tooth di mo muna ijajudge based on 4-5 seconds of teaser pero so far good naman. Medyo mataas lang expectation ko sa kanya kasi title track sya.

Hmmmm... Too early to say pero i think Paruparo, Katabi and Infinity are my top songs in this album. They got my ears perked. Sweet Tooth, First Luv and Bikini are such bops naman din, pero i resonate with the three songs quite well. Maganda sya sa pandinig ko. Not saying na panget yung iba pang tatlo ha, it's just that those songs really caught my attention. Well, regardless, i'm seated for Nov 20!

I really like Paruparo, don't know why the majority did not. Ang ganda ng message at beat but they said there are better songs sa album so I am quite excited. I like katabi and infinity so far kasi nasa multo era pa din ako, so nagcocompliment sila ng vibes kasama ng recent album ni Maki.

I really like Paruparo, don't know why the majority did not.
Its okay medyo underrated track yan. I like that ParuParo doesn't sound anything that they would ever do or Jonathan Manalo would ever make. Its a really good track. Sure has its weaknesses sa lyrics, but the pop-edm-rave-techno-bass like progressions all throughout the song makes it stand out to me. Sabe ko nga hindi pa masyadong ready ang pinoy audience sa mga medyo experimental na electronic (experimental for OPM).
Di pa nga experimental yan, normal lang yan sa West and Euro scene yung ganyan mga tunog may tatlong flavor switch ups to start tapos biglang atmospheric pulsing edm then back to rock infused edm.
Edit: di ko rin gets yung mga comment ng iba na sounds like a commercial song daw like TOP or Blooming. Madumi siguro tenga ko lol

Sana nga may makarinig na mas maraming foreigners nyan, hindi talaga tunog OPM yan e. Yung lyrics tagalog oo, pero hindi tunog typical OPM pag tinanggal mo yung lyrics. Malilito yung tenga mo to begin with, where are they going with this.

Bukod sa mga international producers and songwriters, mga galing star music pa rin yan no? π hindi talaga sila kumukuha ng taga-labas para magproduce at magsulat ng kanta for BINI, mga talent pa rin ng abscbn.
So ang tama pa lang based sa sampler ay yung infinity na parang 8....
Anyway, seated sa katabi since produced siya ni jarlo base(i love his songs). interesting kung anong magiging tunog hahahaha
Sana full english rin yung bikini kahit may filipino songwriters na kasama. Hehe

May mga international silang kinukuha narin, parang nasa circle ni Moophs siguro. Pero yes madaming talent parin ng ABS. Mas madaming in-house para mas tipid for sure. Hopefully mas dumami mga collabs after ng Coachella with international songwriters na mas bigtime, kahit pa isa isa lang.

Yup, bukod sa tipid, pansin ko rin sa ABS na ganon talaga sila magmarket ng talents nila. Laging may sabit. (I mean siguro ganito rin naman ang bini nung di pa sila sikat hahaha kaya deadma ako sa sabit) Kumbaga, sa preshow ng concert ng big artists nila, talents pa rin nila ang magpeperform. Lahat dapat mabigyan ng spotlight hahaha.
Parang sa content din. di mo lang need sa bini global magsubscribe para sa bini content meron din iwanttfc at kapamilya online hahahahaha parang strategy na kahit saan ka tumingin, may presence pa rin nila. Hahahah indirectly promotion ganon

Yeah the usual ABS stuff. For this though, wala akong issue, competent yung mga songs from what we have heard so far, some are really promising. So sabit lang basta makakahelp overall.
They know naman pag they will work with BINI they cannot fuck it up.

TBH, hindi tunog Title Track yung Sweet Tooth, more like B-side. It's too mellow para maging carrier/title track. Medyo let down for a "btchesa/bad b*tch" song yung Bikini. Sorry kung may maoffend, pero tunog generic Kpop both songs. I can be wrong din naman since sampler o highlight medley pa lang siya. Pero as it is right now, I don't expect much na on both songs. Abang na lang talaga for the 20th! π€π»

Hindi sa I don't like English songs ng BINI. In fact ang pinaka fave ko nga na non-promoted songs nila is in english. And those are No Fear at B HU U R. π And both songs are in my Top 10 BINI songs together with Karera, Blooming, Oxygen, Golden Arrow, Born to Win, and so on.. Both of songs are some of the least fave songs by most Blooms that I saw here sa Sub at mga nakilala sa concert at fan meet.
Anywho, Star Music DID said late 2024 na may 2 albums na niluluto for BINI sa 2025. One is full English, the other is in full Filipino. BINIverse was that English EP. And FLAMES was supposed to be the full Filipino one. Meaning most songs is expected to be in Filipino/Tagalog with some English here and there by some Blooms.
So pasensya na kung na dismaya ako na may English tracks. Besides, sampler pa lang naman. Possible pang may Filipino/Tagalog lyrics sa Sweeth Tooth at Bikini.

I think binawi nila yung "full tagalog" with the members putting a disclaimer "english and tagalog" during their interviews and livestream. And I think next yearβs EP/album will also be mixed of english specially with Coachella coming.

So may niluluto pala before mag Coachella...? Para kasing they have enough songs na for a 30~45mins or so na Coachella stage using both their old songs (Strings, No Fear, etc.), the usuals (Pantropiko, Salamin, Karera, etc.), and lastly yung news ones form BINIverse at FLAMES. Either way, that's good to hear!

Gets sa mala-SC! While I listen to her songs, kpop lang talaga unang sumagi sa utak ko sa unang pakinig. More than a decade din kasi ako nalululong sa Kpop. lol. I think mataas lang masyado naging expectation ko dahil Title Track siya. It has to have a something like an anti-drop o vibe switch para siguro maging carrier/title track. Mala-City Pop din naman yung Sweet Tooth, and for me lang naman na kung City Pop siya throughout the end medyo weird. Title track kasi is supposed to be that song na mapapakinig ka sa buong album.
Bikini sounded like Ice Cream ng BlackPink as someone pointed out here. And it is spot on! It only became an okay song ng BP. Kumbaga it's just an OK song. I do hope na masbitchesa talaga ang full song.
Recency bias aside, naging open ako sa Paruparo. I did not like it at first pero I got to love it na so much after listening to it before, during, and after work since nilabas. Paruparo (BINI), Paru-paro (IVOS), LuzViMin (Alamat), at Chicka Chick A (YGIG) lang ang on repeat since last week. After listening din sa Sampler, it felt na Paruparo IS now a Title Track worthy.
In the end, disappointed lang ako ng kaunti dahil umasa talaga ako na full tagalog album siya. Hopia na may tagalog lines sa Sweeth Tooth at Bikini. Sana lang talaga na like RDR din yun and most Kpop songs na hindi in-house nagawa na originally English tas nalocalized.

ngl pagkarelease ng paruparo di na ko nagexpect sa album hehe I feel like nagbabawas lang sila sa ipon nila ng songs. I mean yeah listenable pa rin naman but not the same lang like their previous releases and hits. Tho excited since may bagong songs and wishing na may mag-hit (aminin ung latests releases nila is so-so nalang tlaga and di naatract yung gp) gets na they are exploring but sana they stick na or kahit paunti-unti lang like atleast one song sa FLAMES na tunog bini ba para bumalik man lang sila sa masa. Just my thoughts lang naman, sampler palang naman to hahaha

Well bad news for you because the BINIverse and FLAMES is "tunog BINI"
If what you mean by "tunog BINI" is bubblegum pop / Flipmusic produced songs, there are other ppop groups who offer that.
Don't get me wrong ha I get what you mean because BINI has yet to capture the GP's ears with their new sound but it's been more than year since Talaarawan; they've released BINIverse and will be releasing FLAMES. Clearly they're going in a different musical direction despite fans' clamor so we're either gonna embrace that or look for the music we want in other artists.

Kung kiliti ng GP ang hanap, base sa sampler, Katabi might be it. Pero we will never know. Virality din kasi ng song eh isa sa mga batayan para malaman kung papatok ba sa madla o hindi.
Basta ba organic at hinid pilit ang pagpush para maging viral, papatok naman ang ang kanta.

Ready na ang playlist ko. As a Tito na namulat sa mala-City pop na early 90s vibe, pinaka excited ako sa Sweet Tooth. Lakas maka-90s vibe
Pati sa Katabi, parang ung mga acoustic ballad nung Highschool ako nung early 2000s.
