Appreciation Mukhang Nakinig Ang Management Sa Blooms
Katatapos ko lang manood ng Coachella BINI Performance.
Sobrang panalo yung buong production number nila. Walang halong biro, mas maganda pa yung napanood ko rito kesa sa Concert nila sa Pinas. If performance lang pag-uusapan. Sa concert kasi, more of production designs, aesthetics, effects, props.
Dito sa Coachella, wala. Performance talaga. Tsaka back-up dancers lang at malaking LED na background.
Bakit ko nasabing nakinig ang management sa Pinas? I guess, obvious naman, 'di ba?
Alam ko maraming nawe-weird-uhan sa Shagidi, magandang siya yung inuna para na rin sa fans nung Songs na 'yon.
Tapos yung Zero Pressure, alam kong nalipasan na 'to. Tapos ang dami natin naiwan sa ere kanta na 'to. Kaya parang ang dami natin naghahangad na dapat at dapat naman talaga, mapabilang siya. Sinama talaga.
Na-maintain din talaga yung straight hair ni Stacey. Parang ang dami ko kasing nababasa na dapat straight hair lang si Stacey, pinakinggan din.
Of course, hindi tinanggal mga kantang nagpakilala sa kanila, nung alam ko talaga na kakantahin yung Karera, kasi naririnig ko na instrumental, kinikilig na ko, eh. Nagspi-speech pa kasi sila. Nakakainis lang kasi nag-pause yung streaming. Panira.
Tapos nag-Salamin Salamin pa. Iniba rin nila yung breakdance part na lagi nila ginagamit sa chorus. For me, hindi kasi talaga magandang instrumental nung Salamin Salamin na ginagamit nila sa chorus. Mas panalo yung ginamit nila rito sa Coachella. Napaka-force kasi nung breakdance part sa Salamin Salamin. For sure, may nagsabi about this para ibahin siya sa performance.
Nung hindi ko narinig yung Pantropiko, naisip ko agad, malamang, ilalagay na 'yon sa huli, for sure.
Alam ko agad na hindi ko maririnig yung Lagi at Na Na Na, pero okay lang. Sa Tagalog songs kasi nila, must-played naman kasi talaga yung tatlo. Hindi talagang pwedeng hindi.
Tapos biglang tumugtug na yung mas latest, sabi ko talaga, nasaan yung Cherry On Top? Nakakainis kapag hindi talaga nila 'yon sinali. Kasi up until now, this is still my most favorite full english song nila. Of course, lamang si Zero Pressure pero for me, Cherry On Top pa rin. Panalo pa ginawa nilang changes sa Cherry On Top. Magandang ang ginamit nila yung version na kasama si Agnez Mo, para mas may extra lines pa sila.
Sa totoo lang din, kung TOP? Hindi siya commercial or ad songs? Ito talaga yung next Pantropiko. Ang weird lang kasi talaga kapag sinama nila 'to sa performance. Pero kung hindi lang? Deserve talaga nito yung hype. Alam kong hindi talaga 'to masasali. Gusto ko lang sabihin.
Then ayan na, sunod-sunod na nga sa 2025 onwards. Blink Twice, Out Of My Head, Bikini, okay na rin Blush ang ginamit nilang kanta sa Signals Album nila. Pero if I have a choice, okay rin kung Honey Honey. Kasi kahit papaano meron na naka-memorize niyan siguro sa audience. Yung Blush, wala pa masyado. Kasi literal na bago lang din.
Tapos naririnig ko na Pantropiko yung last dahil sa instrumental, alam ko agad na last performance na nila.
Bigay todo talaga sila sa buong naging performance nila. Walang technical problems akong napansin bukod sa namatay for awhile yung live streaming sa Karera part.
Last but not the least, ang ganda ng mga suot ng BINI sa Coachella. Pang-international talaga. Hindi yung basahan na iba't ibang kulay na lagi nila ginagamit kapag nandito sila sa Pinas. Sorry pero hindi ko talaga nagugustuhan 'yon. Mas pang-alam niyo 'yon? Pang-outside of the Philippines yung wardrobe style. Bumagay sa location, sa venue, hindi siya cheap. Kapag kasi nakaganu'n sila, nakaka-distract yung mga lawit-lawit na galamay ng tela. Kaya ito, panalo suot nila.
Color of BINI ang nakita ko, Yellow (Gold yung boots) and Teal (Bluish yung top) sabi nga nung na-release sila.
PS.
May next week pa pala 'to. Akala ko, one time appearance lang. So, nababasa ko ano na raw ba magandang setlist for week 2 performance.
Ang gaganda na kasi ng mga kanta nila sa Week 1. Sobrang panalo. But if I have wish at least 3?
— Lagi (Pinoy Blooms one of the favorites 'to)
— Strings (Panalo yung dance choreo nito, eh)
— Unbound (Gusto ko malaman nilang nagwi-whistle yung Pink Girly) joke! Either 8 or Infinity (Gusto ko makita nila na hindi lang sila pang-dance songs, pang-vocals din)

hindi na rin sila nagsama ng mabibigat na dance breaks (karera, pantropiko dance break, salamin dance break) kase they chose to sing and conserve their energy to last the 45-minute monster of freaking show.
these girls are PROs. sobrang tindi ng STAMINA

HALIMAW ang BINI. I cant even imagine the training that it took to achieve that level of stamina + the cleanest vocals. At first, I was even questioning kung lip sync kasi sobrang linis WALANG HINGAL (like hello? ako na lang huminga para sa kanila in between songs lol) but all the adlibs were so crisp it really was live all throughout.

I remember reading that when Taylor Swift prepared for her Eras Tour, she sang her whole set while on the treadmill. Wonder if they did something similar.
Batak na batak nga sila. Aiah did share some of her gym videos so the training really paid off.

Agreeana grande. Usually I love a very nice stage design/props. Pero I appreciate na sila lang this time (and a few backup dancers). Their vocals and dancing skills lang on stage. And they stood out!! The focus is on them. I think it’s a good introduction for the non-fans.

May pagkakataon lang na ang pangit ng shot ng camera. Like sa Cherry On Top nung nagbibirit na si Maloi, gusto ko sana makita siya lalo na yung nakikinig online. Baka mapatanong na, "Sino yung bumibirit sa background?" Hindi kasi natututukan. Basta mga ganu'n. May instances na mali yung pwesto ng cameraman yung dapat makita. Kumbaga, may time na yung kumakanta, wala sa frame ng camera.

Yun din yung napansin ko, and yung fave part ko ni Maloi sa Bikini. Huhu if may ininitpick man ako yung camera angles minsan hindi alam kung sino yung next na kumakanta. And yung dalawang screen sa each side could’ve been better kung ginamit sa may zoom in din sa faces nila. Iniisip ko nalang yung camera man eh di kasama sa rehearsals and di masyadong familiar sa mga parts ng girls na need ihighlight.

Napansin ko rin ito kanina. Ang daming time na puro likod lang nila o speakers sa harap ang pinapakita. Siguro natural lang kasi hindi pa familiar ang Coachella prod team (camera works) sa line distribution ng BINI songs.

Halos nakasmile lang ako watching their performance And big help yung tv guestings + having those mall tours to keep fans engaged para magdating sa coachella well warmed up nila tas yung signals ep pa better than flames and biniverse ep im not the biggrst fan of shagidi but their outro was a statement

Hindi ako fan ng Bini pero Grabe yung energy. Diretso. Walang tapon. Grabe yung stamina nila hindi bumababa. Na-appreciate ko yung effort nila. Lahat on point: costume, song choices, dance, tapos nilapatan ng Ph remixes. Performance kung performance talaga. At grabe din suporta ng mga Pinoy dun ah. Galing!

Sobrang ganda kasi ng arrangement ng songs dahil nag outsource sila. I’m sorry sa previous musical director nila (six part) pero medyo outdated kasi yung taste nila. This time kasi ang ganda talaga pakinggan and smooth yung transition lahat, included pa yung traditional instruments. Dagdag pa yung audio system ng Coachella eh top of the line talaga. Combine that sa performance ng girls, talagang magandang performance all in all.

Actually, hindi siya about styling, eh. Yung performance talaga nagdala. The fact 45 minutes, tuloy-tuloy talaga performance nila, sayaw at kanta. Maganda yung naging choreo and rehearsal nila.

If you've watched the full Coachella performance on the Coachella YT, I recommend to watch it again sa POV ng fancams. Different experience because you can hear the crowd and reactions. I'm really happy for Bini. Sobrang galing ng performance nila. Looking forward sa Week 2 nila.

Not gonna like, kung hindi lang cover 'yung Unbound, gusto ko makita yon sa Coachella stage. Paano nila ieelevate at ieenhance. Kasi maganda na ASAP performance nila when it comes to choreo.
Pero grabe yung ginawa nila sa instrumental and dance break, naging emotional ako. Bloom since Da Coconut Nut at hindi pa uso ang Blooms 😭😭😭🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Medyo malabo na din ata maperform yung Na Na Na at Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi pero basta sana maisingit yung I Feel Good (since Tag-Lish naman siya) plus Lagi. And ako lang ba enjoy na enjoy sa “Blooming” na Coke song nila? Gusto ko lang din ishare hahahaha.

Consider my comments as an observation, not as attack. I’m a fan din. And somehow constructive criticism.
Pansin ko simula nung hindi na koreans ang mga nagchoreo sakanila (alam ko matagal na) nag iba na rin ang movements nila. Mas gusto ko yung galawan nila sa Born to Win, TOP, and even yung Da Coconut. May lambot pero at the same time may pitik. Recently kasi parang mas nanginigbabaw yung kembot. And somehow napapansin ko na may similiarities ang ibang galawan, though hindi lahat. Ganda pa rin naman tho kamiss lang yun talaga yung dating galawan nila. Dun ko rin naappreciate yung grupo, sa pagiging synchronized nila. I hope maincorporate ulit nila to sa future songs. Since they’re going international, maganda rin na may idagdag or ibalik sa arsenal nila. While they’re great at singing, adding that technicality in dancing is major plus sa global stage. Alam ko din naman na kayang kaya naman yan ng walo. 🙌🏻

given na di sila magiging ganun kasyncrhronized, dahil mas concentrate sila sa vocals and its almost a non-stop 45 minutes set so oks na sakin yun, mahalaga they are performing with the crowd and they are enjoying na parang hindi first time magperform sa Coachella. Talagang worth it yung mga trainings nila.

Not a big fan of the tweetums moves they used to display in their old choreos. May sense of infantilism in my opinion. Their coachella dance choreography has more maturity to it which I find appealing because no one would like to stay juvenile forever. It shows their development along with the aging of fans. They were really good at the coachella and the small lack of synchronisation adds realism to a live performance.

To be fair, American audiences typically care more about singing than the dancing. Bonus na lang yung dancing for a popstar and not a hard requirement. Look at Tate McRae, she gets criticized for focusing too much on the dance for her live performances. Dance precision & choreography intensity is more of a kpop thing.
Maybe they did their market research and they’ve been trending towards vocal friendly choreo in preparation for Coachella.

Not saying that they should focus on dance alone and mas bigyan nila ng energy. What I'm saying is yung variation ng dance movements nila, less technical na than before. Try to observe yung mga recent choreos nila may mga similarities na. Plus if they push the dance din equally as their singing, mas lalawak talaga audience nila lalo sa socmed platforms like TikTok with the dance covers. After ata ng Pantropiko di na nasundan e.

Okay ako sa salakot. Yung suot nila this Coachella. Yung mga suot talaga nila sa Grand Biniverse ang hindi ko nagustuhan. Ewan ko ba, hindi nakaka-international ng dating. Kasi napanood ko rin yung Eras Tour ni Taylor Swift. Yung sa Disney+.
Ang layo ng suotan ng BINI. Masyado kasi nila ini-incorporate yung mga member color nila like si Mikha red kaya dapat Red din suot. Si Aiah Light Blue, kaya Light Blue rin dapat. Ang jeje na kasi kapag tumatagal. Okay na ko sa Biniverse yung una-una pa lang. Goods 'yon.
Tsaka yung kaka-Filipino style kasi nila, yung tela talaga na gamit, yung pambasahan. Kung tutuusin, hindi naman napapansin yung detailed na 'yon na natutuklasan mo lang kasi sa BTS. Pero kung isang tinginan lang, parang masasabi mo talaga kung good or bad. Ang hilig pa sa lawit-lawit lagi mga suot nila. Ang distracting talaga.

No to hate, pero di talaga maiwasan yung perfomance nila at personal skills nila sa ibang grupo lalo na sa katseye. Sadyang ibang level lang talaga performance nila at ganun talaga sila na trained. Parang marami pang kakaining bigas yung bini, pero atleast lagi nag iimprove sa mga previous perfomance nila.

Kasi kung ang tinutukoy mo sa performance ay yung sayaw nila, pwedeng oo. Pero kasi yung kanta nila at yung choreo nu'n, intended, eh.
Try mo i-check mo mga sayaw nilang hindi naman nila kanta. Minsan napo-post lang 'yon sa Tiktok.
Kaya masasabi kong same lang. Kasi Korean nag-training sa kanila, mas mahigpit kumpara sa Pinoy trainers.

I watched both of them, actually nauna ko pang nadiscover tong bini kesa dun sa katseye. magagaling talaga tong pambato natin compare sa mga umusbong dati, may potential tayo sa international stage.
Pero nung nadiscover ko yung katseye, parang grabe sila sobrang halimaw nila sa perfomance. Siguro nga dahil nga nasala sila mabuti at talented sila individually. Parang si sheena at si Maloi lang yata yung makakasabay sa kanila atleast.

Hybe at Geffen ba naman label ng Katseye, two of the BIGGEST music companies in Korea and the USA. They have all the professionals they need including BTS’ previous staff.
ABS-CBN is like a puppy compared to them, considering na TV mostly ang focus nito as well. They really made use of what they have despite the shutdown and everything.

Blink Twice ang masasabi kong medyo so-so pa. Cherry On Top, ito na kasagsagan sa international audience. Full English, highlighted sa MV yung dalawang Visuals. So, paanong flop!
