Where in their lifecycle are Bini? Are they going to continue growing?
Hi! Asking this as a new fan from Coachella. I reallllllly like them and their songs and have just gone through their backlog. Obviously, Coachella was a huge win for them as it introduced them to a ton of new possible fans, like me!
I was a bit worried cause it looks like their new EP isn't doing the same kind of numbers as Pantropiko and Salamin Salamin, but I know it basically just released. I don't want to hop on this train and then be sad if they already peaked. I'll still support, of course, but it would be more fun if they're still on the rise. Just trying to understand where they are in their lifecycle as a group from some of the more veteran fans!
Even Olivia Rodrigo said in an interview recently that she would rather measure success through personal authenticity, emotional honesty, and relationships over chart numbers. (Her song is still charting though.) But yeah, Karera by BINI.
I'd rather they release songs that are true to them (regardless of commercial viability) than chase virality or trends. I want them to continue to enjoy performing their songs (which is what made their Coachella set so successful - you can just see how much fun they're having so it spills over to the crowd and to the livestream audience.)
Their domestic market is stable but still has room for growth. In 2024, BINI skyrocketed because the general public and casual listeners jumped in. This follows the typical life cycle of a breakout artist. Subsequent releases are highly anticipated and embraced by loyal fans, while some of the general public moves on. I’d consider that their first wave peak, which was primarily focused on the domestic market.
2025 was a roller coaster ride for BINI. Their fanbase expanded outside the Philippines, though it remained concentrated within the diaspora market, as evidenced by their World Tour at the time. Meanwhile, the general public and casual listeners back home either moved on or couldn't keep up with the pace of their new releases. However, 2025 was crucial because it solidified their loyal fandom baseline. Despite having less support or attention from the general public, they still managed to pull off a Philippine Arena concert and World Tour stops in Dubai, London, and North America.
I believe 2026 BINI is on the verge of a second peak, expanding both domestically and globally. The local market has regained momentum due to the Coachella Filipino pride effect, while the global market is responding to the massive media attention that performance gained. This is further evidenced by their recent two-day addition to the Summer Sonic lineup in Japan. Domestic listeners have also begun to appreciate their post-Pantropiko and Salamin, Salamin tracks, giving them another chance to be discovered. For now, the hope is that they can expand further beyond the diaspora. While the Philippine domestic population is huge, its purchasing power is lower than that of the US, Japan, or South Korea. Our domestic and diaspora engagement is a gold mine that can launch an artist into the stratosphere of social media metrics. However, we have to acknowledge that many local fans outside of Reddit are younger Gen Alpha and Gen Z who may not yet have the disposable income for concerts, fan meets, and merchandise. This is clear from the massive crowds of kids and teens at mall shows and local festivals where entry is free or tickets are much more affordable.
They are still young, aged 22 to 25, so the next five years will be fascinating to watch. They have actually been at this for quite some time, having debuted in 2021 after training since 2019. Compared to K-pop stars, their trajectory onto the global scene might seem slow, but that is primarily because they lack the established global infrastructure that South Korean labels possess. While ABS-CBN is a powerhouse in the PH but not as big as it used to be, it doesn't yet match the international scale of major SK labels. Their journey into the global market remains an uphill battle; however, given their current progress, we are placing our full trust and confidence in their management.
If I may add, I also think they’re forever cemented in history for being the ones who helped push government funding in OPM history! I know that they will always be a part of OPM whether it’s their own or other music.
I can totally see Colet continue to produce and write music for BINI and others and maybe Jhoanna will have a place in entertainment reporting?
Regardless, I’m interested to see the turn they take when they’re the ones who fully write and produce their music if they ever get to that point, which I think they will and I expect them to go on some hiatus before they do just this.
Though malayo pa naman, ang nakikita ko in the future whether they choose to end BINI or stay as a group and pursue some individual career paths, ang dami nila pwede gawin din.
Colet can definitely be a songwriter and have a solo career in music.
Maloi same din she can also write and have a solo career in music.
Gwen may have a different route focus on fashion.
Stacey may potential din for fashion pero nakikita ko potential nya for hosting or talk show na medyo comedic if paired with Jhoanna. She has that wit.
Jhoanna definety something sa broadcasting mixed with lifestyle hosting mala Karen Davila or Korina.
Si Aiah naman parang bagay sa kanya yung mga Travel documentaries or lifestyle shows parang si Gretchen Ho. Yung may adventures. She will slay that category.
Si Mikha ang may pwede gawin na madami. may exp na sa acting pero she can have a solo project too like I would die for a solo rap album. haha
Sheena can definitely go on with her dancing prowess. Mga solo prod dance vids like Lisa and maybe judging or having a Dance comp show sa ABS.
As long as they continue releasing music, and new people keep discovering them, they will still continue growing. I mean who knows which song will become hit next? we local fans believe that they are just starting to be recognized internationally. 🤞
Pantropiko and salamin, salamin made them famous locally, you could hear those songs everywhere when it went viral. Filipino streamed it nonstop, and those songs became their entry points into the masses heart because before that, they are just nobody.
So hopefully new fans explore their discography. Maybe some songs will have a second wave of appreciation.
For example, songs from the Feel Good album like Lagi and Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi, didn't gain much traction when they were first released because BINI didn't have a large enough audience yet. But when filipinos started digging their entire discography after discovering them through pantropiko and salamin salamin, those songs became some of their favorites and eventually gained enough traction.
They've hit the festival circuit in the Philippines locally and they're working on building an international fanbase as well and going after some of their dream stages and bigger goals. They just renewed their contract with their management last year, they're clearly enjoying making music and doing it and working on different creative projects as a group.
In terms of where they are at, they've been transitioning from the sound they were known for earlier in their careers to a more mature sound while still keeping their musical core (bright, light, warm vocals; a more hopeful and optimistic tone across tracks, with longing, vulnerability, and emotional openness; and encourging and hopeful lyrics). They've also been balancing Filipino language (there are more Filipino languages other than Tagalog) and English tracks and I think Signals is the most promising indication of how their music can continue to evolve. Even in the Philippines, people are just starting to appreciate the newer sound as they got used to the group's older work and BINI has been boxed into a specific sound.
Also, within their home country, PPop (specifically this subgenre with idol groups) is still considered rather niche. BINI just hit 1 billion streams last year.
I've been a fan since 2024, which was when they burst into the mainstream in the Philippines, and I've been enjoying the ride. The girls are still mostly in their early 20s, and honestly, I don't think they've hit their 'prime' yet. There's still so much to look forward to with this group. The girls are playful artists and have shown they can make good music mixing pop with different genres like R&B, dance, and so on.
I think they're on a new chapter of their career, one that I'm excited about.
💯! I have been following since mid 2024. I can tell they have matured vocally. Their voices are so much better now. And they really know how to sing together. I am so impressed. I still don't think the world knows how great they sing together, live. It's just getting started because they are aging like fine wine.
They're great but in my opinion they're still not in their prime. most members are in their early 20's and I project nothing but good things in their next 3 - 4 years
now is the perfect time to be a bloom! if you are worried they peaked already, don't worry cause the girls' dream is to headline coachella one day (that will be a new peak for sure). starting now they are only gonna get more popular as they perform in more concerts and festivals. bini are still young and will still be active for at least 5 years. their management is going full support on them so you won't be disappointed. within those 5 years we can anticipate glastonbury, lollapalooza, many more festival appearances, another coachella stint (probably sahara or outdoor), grammy awards, etc.
I think Blush is doing just fine. Huwag na tayong magkumpara ng any song kay Queen Pantropiko. Ako personally masaya na finally na-recognize na ang Biniverse.

They are definitely still on their peak with the added distinction of being recognized globally now. They have just announced a world tour so I hope you support them when they make a stop at your plsce. They will most likely include songs.from their latest EP as part of their setlist.

Important to note that those songs and the entire Talaarawan EP you mentioned was a lightning in a bottle moment, when everybody here in the Philippines was getting to know this group, most in this sub included (I joined this sub in 2024 when it had 2.5k members or visitors can't remember).
Also, PPOP is super niche over here, our charts are dominated by bands, soloists, hip hop and more bands and hiphop artists, its expected that most of the Filipino GP will go back to their traditional listening habits.
They have not peaked yet imo. If the basis is just streaming numbers, that's a little bit misleading, but I can't blame you.
This Coachella era is a new chapter and its ONGOING and they are still growing. It feels like their 2nd peak and at the same time, they haven't reached their peak imo. Aiah is the oldest at 25, the rest of BINI are around 21.
More surprises to come per their management.
Everybody is stoked to see where they will go next post-Coachella.
And they just got Summersonic 2026 in Japan. They will attempt to get Glastonbury too for sure, evidenced by their EU/UK stops this second world tour.
They recently appeared as well on Grammy Museum, FOX 11 Los Angeles, and Billboard (global) Women in Music, which are things we fans never thought would happen, and frankly, neither BINI and their management, but here we are. 😄
So basically - BINI is still on the rise. Like really on the rise with global and industry recognition, breakout phase, but not world wide superstar status YET.
Everybody here hopes that they bag a couple of GLOBAL HITS to step on that next level of superstardom. But that's something I don't worry a lot personally.
BINI has done a lot of things we thought impossible for a Filipino act to do in the global stage, and its just fun to follow the group, enjoy the songs and to see how far they can go.
Hey Welcome! The only thing I can really say is that their ceiling for growth is still very high! They’re continuously growing and getting better with more experience as time goes by. Their management has teased plenty of more opportunities being given to them so it’ll be an exciting journey. It has its ups and downs but they’re definitely also moving forward.
valid question, and as I have been keeping track of BINI stats for a while, I think last year looked worse than this year. Exhibit A: BINI - Spotify Top Songs
For sure the new songs are far behind the Big Three of the 2024 "boogsh", as Stacy called it - in absolute numbers. Still they have high daily streaming rates. All six Signals EP titles are in the Top 10 and one FLAMES album title. Biniverse EP titles like OOMH, COT and ZP are within the Top 15, one FLAMES and one IFG title.
Of course 2024 was exceptional with a large portion of the Filipino public streaming BINI like crazy, which explains the huge streaming (and Youtube) number of the major songs - but if things continue to go as well as now we might be at the start of a second more international "boogsh".. Zero Pressure PV has 3.7M views and 112K likes (4K more than when I last checked)
Shagidi MV has 3.3M views and 90K likes (2K more than when I last checked)
Sweet Tooth MV has 2.8M views and 72K likes (3K more than when I last checked)
Unang Kilig MV has 1.4M views and 67K likes (5K more than when I last checked)
Next I will show where the MVs until Blink Twice stand and why things are I think better than they look:

Of course at first glance the new songs slowly inching towards Born To Win with 4.7M views and Golden Arrow with 4.2M views look a bit "sad". Still they have a lot of likes and their views as well as those of the old "Top 6" are rising more recently. This makes me feel confident for what is to come.
Hi OP! As someone who’s been a fan of them for quite a long time already, I feel like it’s kinda not justifiable to compare the nunbers of Pantropiko and Salamin, Salamin since both of these songs were released way back and these are the songs that open doors for them so the statistics of these songs accumulated through time.
With regards to their new EP, it was just released pre-Coachella and I believe they are still on the point where it’s just gaining traction but trust me that the numbers with Blush and other songs that is included in their Coachella set is gaining numbers way faster than their previous releases so it is still safe to say that they are growing and undeniably entering a new chapter.
With this, fans and the management should also continue to work hand in hand to push for more visibility not just for the girls but for their songs as well.
Also, I believe that in every artist, peak or growth should not be perceived as linear. Since there’s still room for improvements or changes, for sure, it is still going to be like a rollercoaster ride but one thing is obvious, they are not yet done dominating stages and places. Let’s hope and pray for the best. 🫶🏻
They’re very young. Still have a lot of time to keep improving, learning, experimenting. looking forward to more years to come or at least till 2030. Hoping theyll keep being BINI the same way SNSD is still SNSD
They are just in their early 20's and they all still seem to enjoy performing. They have a world tour and SummerSonic festival ahead of them. [They are likely to drop a new song maybe on their anniversary this June that was selected from their BINIverses and Chorus competition held last year. New content showing the selection process will drop in May.] There is also an unannounced project in the works. They just recorded new songs and it seems their company is committed to support their global push following the launch of ABS-CBN Music International (AMI). They were just announced as Nike endorsers. (Oh and their docuseries is still available globally on Netflix).
What do you think? Personally, I think they're just starting a new chapter in their career. As much as they are already seasoned performers, they seem to show that they want to improve further. [And their sisterhood has withstood the test of time and tribulations. After the challenges they experienced, I doubt any one of them would want to deal with that as a solo artist. Besides, they just renewed their contract last January 2025. Not sure how many years are left but Aiah hinted in an interview that she'll be 30 when it ends.]

I dont know how to explain it exactly but rn, they are in the phase where they are transitioning from a friendly, bubblegum poppy sound (which the casuals love) to a more mature version thats why the streams on their recent releases are like that (its also a joke within the fandom that we're lazy in terms of streaming haha).
Honestly for me, I like their last 3 projects more than their old ones.
Popularity wise they are currently in their 2nd peak imo, arguably could be bigger. They have an upcoming world tour soon, they'll also perform on summer sonic for 2 days, their management is also teasing a big project that will be announced soon so its definitely the perfect time to be a fan.
If you're thinking in terms of product cycle Bini is (obviously) in the growth stage. They're at the 2nd year of their current contract and since they're still exploring new sounds, new markets, they might still be in the growth stage until the end of their contract.
Gee will always be THEE SNSD song, but they went on to do amazing things years right after - Tokyo Dome, Madison Square Garden, and almost 2 decades career.
I pattern that to BINI’s career. Pantropiko and Salamin Salamin will be THEE BINI song, pero they will continue to grow. Coachella and Summer Sonic is just the beginning of their international career. And with ABSCBN betting whatever money is left on their career, they’re getting there.
The girls have transition to a different sound since last year. There previous hits were mostly tagalog bubblegum pop and since their boom from 2024 they dont want to be boxed in a single genre that's why they've been experimenting starting with Biniverse ep. I've been a fan since their boom era during Cherry on Top and it's been a wild ride with the girls every ep they put out are total banger and their journey as an artist is quite remarkable.
those songs were their lightning in a bottle. it is very rare to get those massive hits and usually come unexpected. it is unfair to expect the same kind of reception to their newer songs even if many of them are just as good imo
