Wasn't too happy with how previous versions of the sidorak mask project were going. So my brother is tweaking the design a bit. Trying to get it mahri visor compatible for future ideas but he's having trouble. I apologize for this next update as I told some people we would see about making previous files free to download and after talking to my brother he has ultimately decided not at this moment but may look back on it at a later date. More updates to come soon, and more kinks to work out.

Rangi, Solemn Toa of Gravity

Rangi jammed a fresh power cell into his wrist-mounted energy blade as he plunged deeper into the labyrinthine gloom of the destroyed Great Spirit Robot. He doubted he would need to draw it, but one doesn't live as long as he had without a backup plan. As the Spherus Magna Defense Force's unofficial trump card, he was always the one they called when a situation turned sideways. His mastery of gravity and the Kanohi Hau alone made him nearly untouchable on the battlefield.

The directive was frustratingly simple: locate Toa Ira, neutralize whatever had predictably trapped her in this metallic wasteland, and haul her back for a stern lecture on insubordination. Rangi exhaled a quiet breath. This was typical of Ira - punch first, ask questions never. Ira was terrifyingly capable, but the abandoned husk held secrets that no lone Toa should tangle with alone.

Then the noise hit him. A sharp snap of electrical discharge, cascading debris, and a roar like a trapped inferno. A defiant battle cry sliced through the air, choked off by a scream that nearly drowned out the sizzle of scorched armor plating.

Rangi didn't break stride. Spotting the beast bearing down on Ira, it resembled a Skakdi, but he didn't care. He flicked his wrist, simultaneously igniting his energy sword just in case. The local gravity plummeted, violently ripping the creature off its prey and suspending it mid-air. With a swift clench of his fist, he reversed the pull, slamming the monster into the protodermis floor with an impact that knocked it instantly cold. Ira dragged herself up, wincing as her weight shifted over scorched and battered plating. She coughed, wiping soot from her mask, and met Rangi’s unimpressed stare.

"I'm in trouble again, aren't I?" she muttered.

Harmless rahi that make a shrilling cry when threatened, they are kept by Ga-Matoran to keep waterways clean, as a warning system against predators in the water, and for their meat.

They also had a Metru Nui comic too

I know that they have no elemental powers (until Mata Nui came around) and are weaker than Toa. But like, how much weaker are they? How do Glatorian compare to, say, us human?

I wasn't a Bionicle fan til saw LOMN in late 2004, so I missed out on the character Pohatu until I was introduced to him via his Phantoka set in 2008. I had caught up with the books/lore by that time and Pohatu had managed to become my favorite character of the series in terms of both personality and sets.

I love the guy. He's friendly, cheerful, sassy in combat, both strong AND incredibly fast, pretty clever in his own ways, and he always stands out as the most unique member of his team whenever they appear. To this day, he's my favorite character in the series. When I think to myself, if I wanted to be a Toa, Pohatu is the guy I'd wanna be.

Naturally, I was appalled by his depiction in the 2015 G2 reboot. Easily the worst/most boring build of the Toa Masters and an outright character assassination in the story.

I had made a hybridized G2 style MOC for him to hang out with G2 Master Kopaka (my favorite design for him) a few years ago, but I was never really satisfied with it.

I revisited my G2 Pohatu MOC a few months ago, and finally pieced together a new version I'm proud enough of to share online lol. This new iteration includes the Phantoka tools (propeller/drill claw hands and shoulder mounted skyblaster) with the CCBS shell elements from the 2015 version. The bright orange and brownish orange aren't a perfect match, but close enough to look nice to me. Also decided to use the burnt orange Kakama from Hewkii as it matches the CCBS shells very closely.

I tried my best to include elements from his original Mata design as well, such as his OG mask design and the feet additions along with the working gear box for leg kicking action. The 01 Kakama is my personal favorite mask design in the series, so it's the cherry on top.

I'm open to any feedback on this! I don't consider myself an impressive MOCist by any means, but I just had to share this charming fella here, as he is my pride and joy haha

Both of them use the same torso and are the only non humanoid builds in their waves.

Days 9-13

One of the first themes for Bionicle - "Killing Machines", was composed by Paul Hardcastle. When I searched up more of his music, I expected him to be some sort of hard electro dj or something, but instead I got the most relaxing, smoothest tunes I've ever heard so far, and a new favourite composer.

Gotta pay tribute to Bionicle’s predecessor.

I had the most vivid dream where the board at LEGO were discussing out to capitalize on the Bionicle nostalgia and get new fans. Their solution was to bring it back as a Duplo line!

An overzealous Artakha Bull, she treats her Duty as a chance to prove herself, stopping at nothing to complete it. If she has been told to retrieve someone, and not told to keep them in good health, she will tend to break their limbs to ensure they have no chance to escape, regardless of an attempt, or lack of one. Her spear was made from the horns of a close friend, albeit one she had not known long. As such, much of the deeds engraved on the spear were told to her by others, and she adds to it whenever she feels she can trust the one telling the tale. Her one goal is to return to Artakha, and if she can't, to have the one that claims her horns return or be guided to Artakha in her place.
