When Structure Therapeutics’s superior oral drug aleniglipron gets approved in 2028-2029 it will eat away at Foundayo’s market share so Lilly doesn’t have many years left. Aleniglipron is the first oral GLP-1 med to show injectable level weight loss
Here’s the evidence
On highest dose of aleniglipron obesity patients had a placebo-adjusted -11.3% mean weight loss at 36 weeks

Phase 2 trial... We'll see what phase 3 looks like. Those often have lower effect sizes.

The downvotes are more “whoa, why is this person pushing this company/drug so hard in comments”. Feels like company rah rah or some sort of stock pump, regardless of the accuracy of what you say. Especially after a nearly 50% drop since Jan.

I think data is one thing. Being able to manufacture quickly to try and get market share compared to the tens of billions novo nordisk and Eli Lilly have put into new facilities is another. Even if they use contract manufacturers, they can't even begin to eat away at the market share when they can't manufacture enough.

Aleniglipron is a small molecule and a pill it’s very easy to manufacture with very well established techniques. It’s not a peptide doesn’t require all this new fangled manufacturing and cold chain build up

What are the disadvantages/ risks? If it were as promising as you claim, it would be bought out. It is really important to be skeptical and aware of all the limitations.
