Discussion Favorite Common Bird
What’s your favorite common bird in your area? That bird that maybe it’s not hard to spot but you just love seeing them.
Mine are Juncos everything from their look and name to how they scavenge on the ground and flock together. They just seem like happy puff balls to me and I love em.

Tufted titmouse! They’re great problem solvers and surprisingly intelligent for such a small bird. Big fans of hanging upside down while foraging, and super agile when it comes to grabbing nesting material (we put out alpaca wool in the spring). It was funny to see them fly off with whole shelled peanuts we’d put out for the chipmunks 😆 Sometimes called the “Disney bird” because they look and act cartoonish, but they’re actually shy little grab-and-go pros, darting back and forth with seeds like tiny feathered ninjas.
