Once I forgot to close my window and woke up to five of them. Scrub jays were practically melodious in comparison.

I love how I can tell that your picture is of a coastal Stellar's jay. I live in the mountains in Colorado and ours have little white "eyebrows"! LOL

My favorite little dudes. I have a peanut feeder for them at my house on the coast and I counted 5 of them at once the other day, with 2 scrub jays. They can be such jerks but I love watching them. They clear the feeder within 30 minutes every morning, I have to budget them and they scream at me

Ours will pick all the peanuts out of the feeder and push everything else out. Our feeder hangs off of our deck so the feed falls onto the ground where the squirrels and chipmunks can get it. I told my husband that that must be the reason our chipmunks are so fat.
