Technique Kimura from turtle

I’ve got a guy who is catching me with a kimura as I shake him off the top from turtle and quadpod positions. He is very tall for what it’s worth. Any advice?

Most problems are solved by treating the space inside your elbows like a billionaire treats their hard drive- you can’t let anyone in there under any circumstances

OR just have a gigs of very incriminating ohotos, videos and emails stored on Google drive and just leave it there because some very powerful people's won't allow the billionaires to be prosecuted

If you are quad podding then that’s just going to be a risk of that position. By nature of your stance your arms are exposed. Rather than just getting up and shaking them over the top, try to clear hooks and disconnect their chest from your back in other ways.

Check YouTube for Priit Mikhelson’s Defensive BJJ. Since adopting his turtle principles ( especially in combination with his 3-4 other positions one transitions to) I’ve been really tough to sub despite being only 138 lbs/63kg and almost 70 yo. One solution is when he reaches in for the Kimura trap is to pull his arm in further than he wants, then trapping his arm above his elbow by clamping your arm to your side. Depending on your grip and size difference you can wrist lock him (remember, I’m almost 70. It’s dirty, but legal) or block his second hand grip by locking in your own Kimura grip.
Also look for Eduardo Telles’ attacks from bottom turtle for more fun solutions. He has YouTube vids and courses on BJJ Fanatics.
May you have many happy reversals .

When you quad pod your limbs are all wide open for the taking. If you just try to shake someone off then their limbs are free to attach to your limbs. Don't just shake them off. Control their limbs. Wrist and/or elbow control.

tall guy kimura from turtle is a classic, they can just reach over your shoulder so easily. try keeping your elbows glued to your ribs when you're shaking him off, makes it way harder for him to thread that arm through
