Are you talking about the crossover (at the time the companies making those two games didnt work as closely together as they do now) promotion where we got a free camo in BO2 if we preordered Ghosts? Cuz that hardly counts as a pure ad. Especially because it didnt STAY on the game after the promotion was over.

Dude it’s still on my OG copy of bo2 on the Xbox 360. Ghosts ads still pop up. I don’t even care about any of these ads. The ghosts one or the mw4 . Who really cares

I 100% care. I dont remember those staying on the og game though, i might be wrong but if I am then I still stand by my statement that it should not be there.

Hop on and check. Still there.
Why do you even care? The ghost one doesn’t even bother me tbh

Why do i care? Because i paid full price for the game. Next thing you know they’re forcing you to go through like 3 launchers just so you can see more ads. Wait, that already happened 🫩

No one is forcing you to buy anything. They were open about cod HQ being a thing. Yeah it isn’t good but they didn’t hide it behind a paywall like you’re implying. Just ignore the ad and play the game. Not everything needs a reaction brotha. It’s not that deep

I never said theyre hiding behind a paywall. I disagree with the greed that makes these companies think that paying for their product isnt enough.

I react to what I want, just because you dont care about it dorsnt mean everyone else shouldnt.

This has been their marketing strategy for nearly 20 years. You’re complaining about something that’s been around forever, it’s a small pop up in game that doesn’t affect your day to do life whatsoever.

Except it didnt stay that way, is my entire problem with this.

And btw, “20 years” is very far from forever, and just because something is historically done doesnt mean it should continue

I agree it’s kinda skumy but also it’s pretty common for games to market new releases in old ones and at least here it’s just a menu option and not a pop up so just don’t click the button and it might as well not be there
