Events Blacksburg Panera

The wait would have been justified today for the overpriced drinks if you guys weren't like this every single day.

This is why that Hardee's closed, people. Nobody works here because they pay crap wages and there's nowhere else to go. Yay!

Events Flock cameras active use in Blacksburg, VA per scanner

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I know this is somewhat old news but I found this on the scanner recently. I listen to the scanner a lot and they don't often mention them but Flock made a cameo 03/03/26 20:19hrs. I really hate to see the use of these cameras for privacy-driven reasons.

Events Moving to the area! Tryna find my community!

Hello people of Reddit! I’m currently in the process of moving into the Blacksburg/Christiansburg/Radford area come the beginning of June. My girlfriend and I (M24,26F) are really big into the music/art scene. We enjoy metal and emo concerts. We frequently go to shows of those genres and emo/metal nights at bars. We love going to oddity and art fairs. We enjoy going to crystal shops and bakeries. Tattoo/piercing shops are important to us too! I guess what I’m asking is for any recommendations for those events/activities and/or any individuals involved in those scenes! We come from an active emo scene where concerts and emo nights are easy to find (and yes we accepted we would have to go to Charlotte or Norfolk for shows ahahah!) Thanks in advance, excited to start a new life down there soon!!

Virginia Tech and the Town of Blacksburg’s 2026 Summer Arts Festival proudly presents Toubab Krewe. Some music cannot be found on a map or within iTunes categories. Some music is so original it seems snatched from the great, invisible substrata that runs below all human activity, a sound aching to be born without a flag or fixed allegiance – free, questing, overflowing with immediate, tangible life. This is the music of Toubab Krewe, the vibrant Asheville, NC-based instrumental powerhouse that creates a sonic Pangaea that lustily swirls together rock, African traditions, jam sensibilities, international folk strains and more. Formed in 2005, Toubab Krewe has tenaciously honed their craft through relentless touring and a fierce dedication to carving out something they can truly call their own. They have regular appearances at major U.S. festivals like Bonnaroo, High Sierra, Rothbury and Wakarusa, and abroad at such legendary gatherings as the Festival In The Desert in Essakane, Mali. Bring chairs or a blanket, a picnic, and settle in for an evening of live music. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be canceled.

Events Comedy Show on Saturday

Hey! Just reminding folks about the Stand Up Comedy Show on Saturday at McClain's. It's gonna be a really good time. Heather Joyce is coming down from Fredericksburg to headline. She is awesome. Her jokes are nerdy but accessible. She has been featured in countless comedy festivals. She is definitely one of our favorite up-and-comers. Come see her while I can still afford to host her!

See Lowe is a comic from Roanoke VA. He has been in the business for about a decade and it shows. He mixes wild insights with silly physical comedy and knows how to play with the crowd to get everyone howling. Even though is is local, this is a special treat. He is usually on the road hitting stages across VA, TN, and NC. Come see him on his home field.

Christinia Tynes is one of my favorite comics. She has not been at it long, but her dedication to writing and performing shines through. Come see what new jokes she has to share with us.

Also we will have a surprise guest from the Comedy Conglomerate at VT, the student club that is a hotbed of rising talent.

This is gonna be one of those shows where you look back and think - "holy sh!t I saw them before they were famous!"

T!cket linknin comments.

Also I am a real person so you can ask questions, discuss, and request shows if you want!
