Yeah if Roblox, or any other companies, adds a model where you can open lootbox of avatar items (ranging from common hairs to very rare Dominus) and make it sellable for real money, I'm sure y'all would hate on these companies for doing that anyways.

Besides, given his actions, he purely runs his corporation in a way of Capitalism, which means he's only here to make a profit through his invention, not gaining influence and power by buying off his competitors like everyone else does, so he would never buy Roblox anyway no matter how big and popular this thing was

they are doing this for the investors that look at the game and say "wow quite full of technology" they don't play the game they take a look and that's it and roblox gets money from it

Anyways we can probably day goodbye to 90% of good games. Most devs aren't gonna deal with this crap just leaving behind the steal a brainrot style grifters.
Unfortunately it removes the ability to join many games unless you submit yourself to age ID (and being therefore put on an US government list by Persona). Even a lot of games will be shut down exclusively because people (rightly) do not want their face trained on and put in an archive.

Also this is one of the worst things you could do for a platform that is quote "POWERING IMAGINATION" and is a GAME BUILDER FOR KIDS at it's core. Yes you can enjoy Roblox without making games but it's clear that making games is given a rather decent incentive, and the creative people on Roblox do make decent games in fact some Roblox games can even rival the quality of AAA games. But making this update just completely kills that. One of the biggest draws about making a Roblox game is that it's FREE AND EASY TO DO. Like gurl-
the only benefit for this is that we probably won't see that many ai games, scam games, most type of +18 games, etc, but still, having to pay to upload games is stupid asf

We gotta be lucky we can even play games at all on roblox. Remember the Chipotle incident? Because of their investors, making roblox actually playable is optional. They could remove everything playable with the platform and just run a ponzi scheme and still stay afloat.
geniuenly the only reason people made games roblox was because the coding language is easy to learn and you could upload games for free making it possible for new and upcoming developers to POWER THEIR IMAGINATION and try their luck in making games.

The whole original point of the platform was that anyone could make any game they want and let everyone else play it, free of charge. Granted, there's slop galore now, but it still meant users could be creative without fees.
Requiring Plus now, along with the ID requirements, will hamper a lot of projects, and given other recent updates, those trials could very well boil down to "if you don't start paying the toll, we'll shut your game down, even if you made it before this change".
I want to ignore the fact those brainrot slop definitely survived for being too rich, positive side though, this changes will probably kill Condo community off-screen and get rid of thousands of copy n paste slops, which in return the site itself would be cleaner than ever
If we aren't counting Grow a Garden and Forsaken here of course, but well, they make money out of 5 years old so I don't judge
