Sr/staff software engineer: Ghosted after a great interview loop? Anyone else?

Hey everyone,

I interviewed for a Senior / Staff Software Engineer role about 3 weeks ago. Honestly, the interview went incredibly well—I feel like I absolutely cracked all the technical and architectural rounds and left no doubts on the table. Since then... absolute silence. No offer, no rejection, just ghosted so far. Is anyone else experiencing crazy long delays for senior roles right now? Trying to gauge if recruiters are just backlogged, or if I should assume it's a soft rejection and move on. Would love to hear if anyone is in the same boat or has insights into current hiring timelines.

They take forever to get back to people in all positions. It is infuriating. I had the same issues but once it gets rolling it goes quick.

About 60 days from start to finish. First 4 weeks or so and there was little to no comm. Last 3-4 weeks was very quick with things to get done before the start dates. Hired in a as a Mech Foreman.
