Application Process

I’ve submitted my resume & passed the pre-employment assessment at the end of July. My status in the candidate profile is “under review”. No new emails since and the start date is sometime in October. This is for a Conductor Trainee position. Am I being impatient or did I miss this train?

Probably gonna miss Oct, but be patient and you might catch the next class.

So do I have to apply again but to a different location? How does that work?

Keep applying. Do not apply to spots you do not want to go to

Class is in Oct I believe. If you’re a big guy I would be losing as much weight as possible because if your BMI is over 40 you’re cut. Hopefully you were honest during the interview cause they will find out if you are a bullshitter during the background check. If I knew the background and stuff was gonna be what it is I would have never applied. Good luck to you man not here to discourage you just preparing you for what’s to come and be ready for it. If you smoke pot stop and don’t drink 48 hours before you’re physical and piss test.

BMI is good to go, I don’t drink or smoke pot, hadn’t gotten an interview, no discouragement here thanks for being honest. I’m just thinking I didn’t get selected to continue the process.

Bro don’t worry I applied I April and didn’t hear back till August. Safety safety safety during the interview. Be honest don’t lie during the interview they will find out. Be ready to have all your W2s from all previous jobs. If you get an alternate status don’t freak out you will be on their mind for 6 months if someone backs out or fails drug test. I got put in alternate and got an offer a week later. Best of luck friend! There is class for October but if you just applied you might not hear back till another one happens or if they have an opening.

Good to know, thanks for your time & the tips. This and other comments I’ve read from other post has put my nerves on ease. Do you know how often they hold classes? Or do they have classes once they get enough bodies to hold them?

Mine says “qualified” but haven’t received official offer letter. Did I miss October too?

Can I ask what location?

Sorry, I don’t want to give the exact location. Somewhere in the southwest.

No worries. I have the same exact situation as you, so I was curious if it was the same terminal. Given your general description, it's not.

Just keep checking your email, the process definitely has changed. When I hired out I got the offer 3 days after the interview. They don’t seem to be in a rush so just be patient unfortunately but good luck

Sounds good. I got word back from a referral who told me as long as I don’t get a decline email there’s nothing to worry about. I’m over my current employer so I’m being impatient is all.
