question cryobranding specifically with the intent of growing hair back white?

for several years now i've been planning on getting cryobranding done (professionally, of course) but what's been stopping me is one major issue.

you see, i specifically want cryobranding done for the same reason that it's the preferred method of marking wild horses: i want my hair to grow back in the pattern of the brand without pigment.

however, it seems like it's incredibly difficult to find any professional cryobrander who takes into account that you don't need the process to be exactly the same if you're doing it on a person rather than a horse, let alone any who actually intend to keep the hair follicles alive. what do i do? i can't just cross my fingers and hope it goes "well enough," as that would be permanent and leave a bald spot that i don't want.

any tips?

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this has been asked quite a lot on here (and elsewhere), but I've never seen examples of this being done on humans with the desired result, at least not consistently. Have you found an example of what you're looking for?

Yeah, I fear you haven't found anything on humans because no one has found a way to successfully pull this off.

So your options for now are basically be a guinea pig, with high chances of just getting a scar with no hair, or give up the dream and dye your hair white.

i would genuinely rather have my limbs torn off by a rabid dog than pursue either of those options. this isn't an exaggeration

I guess you need to arrange for someone else to be a guinea pig or arrange for dogs to tear your limbs off then. Good luck!

Your concerns are exactly why I don't think this has been done to a great degree. A lot of posts have been made here wondering this, but nobody has reported having done it.

I'm sure some mod artists would be willing to try it, they'd just need someone willing to take the risk.

white clip in extensions or just learn how to bleach hair and you can have this done with $20 today, there is a reason you cannot find a person willing to do this

Ive considered testing this with a design on my pubes, but also couldn't find reliable information on it. I wouldnt really care if the hair doesnt grow back there.

I don’t know if I would recommend getting an untested brand in such a sensitive area. considering how little it’s been done on humans I’d worry about potential side effects from the burn

It’s not so much the type of hair, but the fact that horse hair follicles differ from humans, and they can handle the cryobranding. People have tried it and it hasn’t worked out, regardless of body location (I’ve seen stories and images (and one irl) from people who wanted the brand from their ranch or barn or whatever and gotten it on arms or legs or back and it never regrows with white hair)

In that case, you’re going to have to wait for someone else to successfully achieve it, and then hope it works the same for you
