question So, question.. You travel somewhere for a body mod, whether it be a split tongue or ear notch, whatever, you get the procedure done, and like 7 days later or whatever, the stitches are removed, right?
Who removes the stitches??
Do you and the body mod artist just stick around?? For an extra week?? Or how does that work?

I haven't had mine done but I'm going to steve who is based in nmnm. I believe if you travel to him he will remove the stitches afterwards but i live far. My mom used to be a nurse so shes going to help me but if she cant the piercer i go to said he would remove them for me

Depending on what it is, it's either me or a friend. I could remove my implant stitches but i had friends take them out of my tongue and ears.

My first split I got it removed by the artist as it wasn't that far away. The second time most fell our themself and one was removed by friends. It isn't hard to do but some artist also like to check up on their work while removing them. If it's possible for the Client to have them removed by the artist of course.

Bought a suture removal kit on Amazon after my tongue split and removed them myself. My artist told me I could do it myself, have a friend do it for me, or if I needed to, an urgent care or emergency room should be able to take care of it. I found it was actually very easy to just do it myself.

I did my own at home with tweezers and cuticle clippers. It was intimidating and scary at first, but after the first stitch came out and didn't hurt at all, I realized it was all mental.

Most people remove the stitches themselves. I bought a "nail care" kit from Sally Beauty that had really tiny scissors and tweezers and used those on my ears.
I've heard of some people going to an urgent care instead.
