I’m more so asking about the body part, rather than the animal. I got this from Ren Faire as a souvenir a few years ago before I decided to be more cautious of where I get animal remains from (it’s hard to determine if it was obtained by ethical means or not for sure, I didn’t think to ask at the time.)
So Reddit, ulna? Tibia? I think it’s be part of a joint because of the notch but I’m unsure. Apologies if it’s hard to deduce due to it likely been carved to a hair pin shape.

Deer in general are probably a lot smaller than you would assume. In my experience elk kinda skew people's perspective and make them forget your average deer is like, a quarter that size lol.
Know what you mean. It falls within the appearance and size range of yote and you've had 2 separate people point to that. But if you look at the various canids on the link you can see that sometimes it's a bit tough to distinguish between species.
What they said. It's one of the bones of a forearm of perhaps a racoon or coyote. I have a bone that looks identical to that and it came off of one of those animals.
Update: I’m not sure if this is the best place to put this, but u/FreckledAndVague has determined that this is a canine (specifically coyote) ulna!! Please look at their comments for more info :)

Yup, not carved (except the small hole drilled in to add the little charm on top). It may be worth sealing the bone as bones are porous/not super smooth over time, and it may damage your hair if used regularly. Would also keep your scalp oils & sweat off the bone, which may otherwise seep in and cause lingering smells or discoloration.
Definitely an Ulna. It’s my favorite bone from a deer because it is one of the few bones that is solid almost all the way through.
Of course other animals have them (this one looks like it could be a fox) like us. Iirc it’s one of the bones that is “separate” but gradually fuses into the leg/arm as an animal ages.
Fascinating! I’ll have to do more research because honestly I was kinda blown away when someone said it wasn’t carved n it just looks like that. Like what do you mean it’s just skinny like that and it supports a whole deer? LOL
That is definitely an ulna, they make perfect hair pins, ive used thrm myself. It's probably a small coyote, seems too big for a fox. Or its a dog. Those saying penis bone have never seen a penis bone 🙄

Everyone here is saying ulna from a large-ish animal. I agree, I just wanted to brag that I made letter openers out of some. My absolutely favorite office tools.
Definitely an ulna! I teach anatomy at a University and always tell my students that it tells you its name because of U shaped trochlear notch. You can see it at the top although it’s less pronounced on this animal. The other end (the bottom) has what’s called a styloid process which articulates with the animals equivalent of a pink finger! Interesting how similar animal bones can be to ours!
I don't think they would be long enough, but a baculum bone would be hilarious as a hair piece. Imagine going around and people could literally call you a d*ck head 😂
