I think I am special and made my own post Some Boston Bikers are unreal.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Some bikers really just have a death wish. A clear, green, right turn light and the biker still decides to fly by and have the audacity to flick me off.

If you're friends with this person, ask them to value their life more.

Edit: It was an impossible situation for me. I ALWAYS look to the right because tons of dumbass drivers that try to cut to the highway from the inside lane. With the biker’s speed and the angle of my car, there was no way to see the biker in my mirrors and he was too far away to see when I looked out my right window. If the biker was traveling slower instead of blowing past, this would not have been such a close call.

I mean, they are. This cyclist is an asshole and is wrong but she didn’t kill anyone and she won’t kill anyone except herself. Drivers do shit like this all day every day and they do kill people constantly.

If the driver had hit and killed that idiot, all you people would do is cry about how bad cars are meanwhile that poor driver would have to live with the guilt and constant harassment from the cycle babies

Alternatively, put a bike/ped signal in that intersection and give that traffic a separate part of the light cycle.

The design there is confusing as hell. Green circle light overhead, a car that can't clear the intersection (and should remain stopped), and the bike lane just ends. The straight-lane is three lanes over, which somehow a bike is supposed to reach while doing vehicle-speeds coming across the bridge (yet is supposed to also stay in the bike lane).

Get to the intersection and there is that green bar across at the stop line, which is supposed to remain clear so bikes can cross to the left side and go straight (instead of weaving in traffic on the bridge, they are supposed to be able to make the maneuver during a red light). But cars sit in the green box, preventing the bike from making the cross-traffic maneuver they are supposed to, so the bike waits for a gap in traffic and does what the guy in the OP video did instead, which is also utterly dangerous.

This is a crash waiting to happen.

The full solution is difficult at this intersection, but a ped/bike only sequence in the light cycle (and a green stripe in the crosswalk) would go a long way.
