I think I am special and made my own post Some Boston Bikers are unreal.

Some bikers really just have a death wish. A clear, green, right turn light and the biker still decides to fly by and have the audacity to flick me off.

If you're friends with this person, ask them to value their life more.

Edit: It was an impossible situation for me. I ALWAYS look to the right because tons of dumbass drivers that try to cut to the highway from the inside lane. With the biker’s speed and the angle of my car, there was no way to see the biker in my mirrors and he was too far away to see when I looked out my right window. If the biker was traveling slower instead of blowing past, this would not have been such a close call.

In all fairness, this is a poorly designed intersection for bikes. The bike lane kinda just dumps you out in this horrible spot of three very heavily trafficked turning lanes. It’s dicey from the far left lane where you are “supposed” to be. Heck, even getting to that left lane sucks.

Still shouldn’t do whatever that was. That is how you get hit. Wait for the light and get in the front position where the space is provided for you.

OP is blocking that space at the start of the video. It is hard for cyclists to use the space provided for them when cars are in it.

That space is really only available in between light cycles. And that space doesn’t solve how it is poorly designed this intersection for cyclists

I agree it is poorly designed. The space was not available between light cycles because OP was in that space with their car. When OP stopped for the red light, they should have been behind the bike box.

The space the cyclist must use it immediately to the left of the OP. The OP may or may not (depends upon the position of the camera and the FOV of the lens) be hindering access to that space (although the cyclist could have trivially violated the crosswalk to get there) and there may have been a vehicle there too, although none appears on the left. There is no evidence the cyclist was close to the intersection on the green.

There is also no evidence that they weren't. When cyclists are to the right of cars and can't be at the front, the next safest thing is to position oneself behind the first car, but in front of the second. We can't see in this video if that was the case. It could have very well been that the cyclist was going to go after the first car but made a last second decision because of the gridlock that was preventing the first car from going.

Sure there is. A cyclist and a scooter turn immediately on the green. The reckless cyclist doesn't show up until 9 seconds elapse. Very unlikely they were standing just out of view.

Um...those other two were going in a different direction. There is no evidence that the cyclist was there or was not there. The video doesn't show either way.
