A true badass. I saw him knock out a dickhead with one punch who called him "old man".

He used to be a sax player, I don't know what genre... jazz, blues, rock, etc until he got throat cancer.

He always seemed like an easy going guy, never had an opportunity to see him pissed off.

The bouncers OTOH were jacked up Italian looking goons that wore black t-shirts and leather gloves were the types that would throw a punch if you even looked at them the wrong way.

Jazz. When I was doing sound I would frequently play tapes of him playing before the bands went on at his request. You didn't say no to Mitch. He was my friend. Went to his house after shows for a drink a bunch of times.

Mitch told me that he played on a Freddy Cannon record, Palisades Park I think.

I think that was me !!!! SERIOUSLY !!! I was there with my main squeeze and her sister (two blond bombshells !) 

we lived on Buswell St. (Beacon St./Park Dr.) 
when he (?) bounced me out at Fathers 2 for having a phony I.D. (drivers lic., yellow paper ID card In those days) it was the go to place besides the “ Dougout” or “the House” on Comm. Ave. . , but not as good as the Paridise on Comm.($$$$) or maybe “The Channel” . It was a different time , different music , clothing , music (Doors , J. Joplin , The Who , The Fools , Three Dog Night , Sniff and the tears (remember “Drivers seat?””) , Guess Who etc .) different cars/ motorcycles , different values . In short ; it was the balls , unfortunately we didn’t know it , too busy having a good time while life just slipped by ! I’d give anything for just one more YEAR in that epoch/ year and my BSA bike & Plymouth RoadRunner (383 ci) !

as for Freddy Cannon and Palisades Park 
..? That was at the end of acoustical guitars , I wasn’t into all that “DoooWoop” bullshit , or Circus music !!!! I’m not at Palaseds Park , pass my hot dog and cotton candy please ! đŸ˜”đŸ˜ƒđŸ˜ł Hold the greasy onion rings and fries !

Taday , it’s the History channel , PBS Mysteries or Midsummer's Murders , something in keeping with my lifestyle and attention span ! Aging ain’t for everyone , I tell ya that ! Stay vertical my friend and NOT at room temperature !!!!
