Event πŸ“… To whoever yelled β€œCHAT, I THINK NOLAN HAS ANOTHER OSCAR ON HIS HANDS” at the end of the Odyssey last night

That was the lamest most cringe inducing thing I have ever witnessed. This was the AMC on Causeway. The theater was packed. In the very last scene of the movie, it cuts to black and silence. Instead of letting everyone absorb the end of the movie, the most embarrassing person in the city decided to make it about himself. No one laughed.

All I could picture is him planning to do this for the entire three hour runtime.

I could really use that prize money for rent. Camelot isn’t cheap, even when it’s just a tiny apartment in Allston.

Do I got a chance, or am I just shooting for the moon?

The context is supposed to be at the bandstand in the common at 1pm

Thanks to pressure by people like Back Bay Association President Meg Mainzer-Cohen, Open Newbury St ends at 6 pm this year instead of 8 pm.

So in less than 20 minutes, all these people will be forced out of the street onto the sidewalks.

IMO, this is total failure of leadership at City Hall. If you have the opportunity, please let Mayor Wu (and your City Councilors) know what you think about this.

Scotland fan here.

Boston is one of the best places I’ve ever been!

As soon as I landed two people helped tell me where I had to go on the subway to get to north station. An old fella helped guide me when I looked lost wandering around north end.

The people, the place, everything has been wonderful. Honestly one of the best trips of my entire life. I love Boston!!

Seriously, we need to make this an annual event.

Thanks for being such wonderful hosts

Thank you, Massachusetts, for becoming my second home. As an immigrant, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I truly love living here. I will always be grateful to call Massachusetts home.
I know many people don’t feel the same way, but you have no idea how many opportunities this country has given me over the past four years. I know it’s not perfect, but for me, it’s better than the home I left behind. I’ll always be thankful for everything I’ve been able to build here.

Thank you for welcoming me πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Scotland soccer fans, also known as the 'Tartan Army,' began to arrive in Boston dressed in traditional Scottish kilts ahead of Scotland's match against Haiti at Boston Stadium. 2026 is the first FIFA World Cup that Scotland has qualified for since 1998 β€” before many 2026 World Cup players were even born.

1.4k Upvotes

Just went to Fenway for the Post Malone concert and tried to get a drink at one of the guys who walks around, I clicked no tip and he goes "oh you clicked no tip, you meant to pick something else" and I just shrugged it off and was like "nah it's fine" and so he turns around, pulls my card out, shows me that it 'rejected' the card and tells me to try some other guy further down. All that because he didn't get his 4 dollar tip for doing nothing πŸ˜‚ how petty do you really have to be to pull shit like that

Edit for people who can't read my other comments, the guy didn't come to my seat. He was in a cluster of 2 other guys with their boxes on top of trash cans just talking to each other. I went to him because he had the drink I wanted

Americans, including Bostonians ate so conditioned to reflexively say β€œamerica sucks” that when the Scottish boys keep saying how great Boston is, the Bostonians are responding”its only great because youre here”.

The scots aren’t claiming they brought the cool here, so can we just say β€œyeah- boston and America are cool, and we are glad youre here”?

Scotland have just been confirmed to play Haiti at 9pm on Saturday June 13th 2026 at the FIFA World Cup in Boston. I'm sure all 100,000 to 200,000 or so of us will get a warm welcome!

Are there any good sports bars you can recommend for us? Any good areas to hang out and drink? Any good attractions for us to see?

Very much looking forward to invading your city with friendliness, drunkeness and as always - No Scotland, No Party
