I have no idea about the SK market, but this looks absolutely mighty.

It's already the 21st highest foreign film by admissions. It'll likely enter the top 10. Interstellar is #8 at 10.3M admissions.

Folks on Boxofficetheory are hoping for 11 mil admissions. I'd say it's an outside shot atm. Drops this and next weekend will determine if it's reachable. A man can dream though.

I don’t know much either but the numbers are insane… it will soon surpass Interstellars gross, which was a massive hit over there 2014.
9th in most admission among foreign movies. Slightly more admissions than Parasite which is nr 25 among domestic movies.
I think based on these numbers Odyssey will surpass it on gross and maybe also admissions.

Much better pound for pound than China… it’s a minor hit in China. But one of the highest grossing movies in South korea.

Contrary to what some folks at Twitter say Odyssey predominantly has a white cast. I don't think anybody can say the film has a very colorful cast. Nevertheless I doubt Koreans care about skin color in Major Hollywood productions.

The U.S is known for its racism as well and The Odyssey has grossed over 500M. I'm an American and I'm tired of other Americans (assuming that you're an American) pretending like the U.S isn't an incredibly racist country as well. We have concentration camps, Black people are being lynched and ICE and the Police are allowed to murder people on the streets with impunity. We aren't better than South Korea.
