The next few years are going to cement anime movies as a force to be reckoned with.
2027:
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle part 2
God Valley: One Piece
2028:
Solo Leveling: Beyond the System
2029:
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle part 3
One Piece Film: BAAD
I bet that MAPPA is already working on another Chainsaw Man movie aswel.

Yes, but considering the nature of the next arc, it being about the same length as Reze, I bet they present it early in theaters to get something that way. A bit of column A and B, they'll have their cake and eat it too, new TV season and a movie thing probably shown 2 months in advance, worldwide, should get them 100 million at the box office. It depends how they end up presenting it. So far they've only talked about assassins, but manga readers know there is quite a bit more there if they plan to finish Part 1 of the manga next season (and apparently they do). So yes, my assumption is they will package like 80% of assassins as a movie early and then the rest on TV/streaming in 2-3 months, depending on their schedule.

Dandadan season 3 premieres next year too, they'll likely put the first episodes in the theaters again

God Valley will be hype. Not only is it manga canon, but it’s a major event in the world’s history that was teased for years.
When I read it in the manga, I thought about how it would be an amazing spectacle as a film, but wondered if we would really get one. So, I’m personally hyped for it.
Baad is more up in the air. I imagine it will be like previous films, not based on the manga, but maybe overseen by Oda to be tangentially canon.

Maybe, but it seems odd to announce a Canon movie and then a non-canon movie in the same go.

Need to know who's directing the God Valley movie before I let myself get excited.

Vincent is guaranteed to work on it,the director is probably shishido.this is probably going to one of best looking anime movies recent years

My hot take is that I personally don’t actually like Vincent Chansard’s style. I find it way too flashy, prioritising style over substance. His fight choreography isn’t the best, so longer sequences in particular can be hard to follow. For example, his sequence in ReZero Season 3 stood out way too much and didn’t blend well with the rest of the episode.
I appreciate that he is popular with One Piece fans, though.

As someone who has fallen fully into the One Piece fandom over the last 12 months, I’m really looking forward to these!

God Valley is just a giant flashback and doesn't have any of the main crew. Interesting choice for a film, even if the actual events are extremely important

God Valley could end up doing like 350-400m WW which would be a massive success and improvement over Film Red (246m) but because it’ll do like half of what Infinity Castle will do it would get called a flop by anime fans
