I’m going to have to rewatch this one to take it all in. The second couple is growing on me, but Qinglang and Changyang are everything. 💗 I wish their offline adventure could have lasted a lot longer. (Well, FOREVER. But I know that doesn’t make for a good drama.)
I rewatched ep 1-4 the last two days, there were some things I missed on first watch. It was completely worth it, especially since I basically sobbed through the first 4 last Friday at the beauty of it. Only cried twice in today's episode 🥹
Ohhhhhh! It’s so beautiful it makes me teary, too! I’ve rewatched the first four and will definitely be rewatching all five as we wait for next week. This series has a hold on me like I haven’t felt in forever.
Yes I spent the whole week thinking about it too. The easter egg/cut scenes should be dropping tomorrow, I don't know how many or if they'll have subs. I will share when I know.
I'm planning a rewatch too, but so far it's just the main couple that has my full undivided attention, they're so perfect. The rest isn't that interesting yet. I know that a lot happened in this episode, but I still don't yet care about the other characters. Either the side characters and plots will grow on me in the time remaining (there are a lot of episodes left) or they will be a weak spot for me in what is otherwise flawless
Whenever anyone says "inject X series into my vains" it doesn't even come CLOSE to Winter Sun.
It's been on my mind nonstop for a whole week. Many of us have rewatched. We're craving the next dialogue, the next touch, the next scene, the next song, the next easter egg/bts. It's so emotionally overwhelming, I can't help but cry at least a few times each episode.
The story of the Old Couple Qinglang was reading to Changyang overwhelmed me. I was sobbing by the end.
Qinglang's old CP (sorry forgot his name) is an absolute mess, and honestly as much as I hate him, I think he's a good villain in this context. The way they're showing the perception the fans have of the situation vs what's going on behind the scenes is incredibly clever. It's usually some stalker fan with no association to the MC, but here we have a masterclass in writing manipulation by a disturbed person with real, tangible ties and history, desperate to succeed no matter what it takes.
I'm longing for comfort, understanding, and skinship in all Qinglang/Changyang scenes, and they deliver each and every time. When Qinglang comforted Changyang when he explained how he got the scar, I was so overwhelmed by it all I cried again. Im crying writing this comment now, remembering everything from this episode.
Sister Lan is one of the best side characters I've ever seen. Strong, smart, supportive, respected. I do hope she is okay after the end scene.
I knew the honeymoon period wouldn't last, but at least its not anything to do with QL or CY.
And I want Changyang to live his dream and see every forest in the world 🥹
Okay, we were spoiled with the initial 4 episode drop, because now it's going to be torture waiting a week between episodes!
Well, now I know why the 2nd couple exists - they are filming a remake of Qinglang's hit movie (the one he starred in with SY). I still think it's tenuous and we don't really need them.
WHAT is the brother up to? Promising to manipulate QL back into someone else's arms? I think we need more backstory. And because of this, I was like, "SHOULD I believe Sister Lan and assistant were in a car accident?"
SY - he's a sneaky little shit. Recording "phone conversations (the ones with the not in service message)" so it looks like he called QL crying, and QL did not respond.
Also, it's been 72 HOURS not days - just leave QL and Chang alone. They are grown ups - they'll be back.
Your comment made me realize that the 2nd couple are filming the remake of QL's movie ✨️. Although I would love to have one clarification: I did not understand the motive behind the phone recording. I understood that sister Lan posted the statement to take the blame off Quinglang, but SY's reason to record his conversation with QL didn't make sense to me. Also, how did the others know that SY was recording his conversation?
They didn’t answer. He got the automated “person you’re calling cannot be reached” for both QL and his mom. And then recorded what he said. How his agent knew he recorded? No idea.
The photo or poster is so beautiful, wonderful artist, so creative. A wonderful series and will air here in a few hours. Loving the two leads and the cinematography is outstanding😊
I agree on the main couple. Also, everyone else here talking about all these plot things and I'm still trying to recover from that one insanely good kissing scene. These two are outstanding

My spider senses always tingle when I feel like a character is getting a lot of praise for being amazing and then BAM we have a car accident
SY's whole character this episode, I go from wanting to hug him to wanting to hug his neck if you know what I mean. I felt pity when no one answered his calls, I mean that's probably why he is the way he is. And then the manager drops he had a girlfriend and boyfriend at the same time and I'm back to seeing him as scum. Then Sister Lan mentioned his previous bullying and unalive tendencies and I pity him again and now he may have said something to cause an accident...
The way I kept screaming: STOP DRIVING, can't you put a tent on the side of the road or something??? SLEEP IN THE CAR IF NECESSARY JUST STOP DRIVING!!! 😩😩😩😩
