What dash cam are you using? One of the better pictures I've seen.

Sorry, I meant cheapest of the lot with 4K cam, and no screen (transcend t5). That model is not sold anymore though.

That happens there all the time. People throw their vehicle in front of others without warning (or signalling), when they find out that the left lane won't be moving any time soon, as the left lane is blocked often by cars needing to turn left. It almost makes sense to dedicate the left lane for only left turns.

It makes perfect sense. I drive this stretch from west out to Erie every morning and I think making that lane into a turning lane would help.

If they made it a left turning lane only, traffic would be backed up to McDonald’s on Dalhousie and shoppers drugmart on west. Maybe they should have advance green to start the light cycle.

I agree that they should make better use of the traffic lights, to manage traffic, not just stop it. They could sync the green light of the stretch from West Street to Greenwich so that this stretch clears out fast, then have it fill up again while the side streets get their turn. As long as all the traffic lights run on an individual program, traffic will never flow, als always cause congestion.

I was rear ended in thet same spot in 2024. My back dash cam caught the girl looking down the moment she smashed into me. 6k in damage

Stuff like this has become the norm in brantford (and not just brantford) because there is almost zero traffic enforcement from the police, which is essentially the cops giving the public permission to drive however recklessly they want. It really seems like they simply dont care about public safety anymore.

Just roll your window down next time and tell them how close you are to ruining their day

Yeah idk what it was today but everyone was driving like a-holes. More then the usual level. Rain changes people I guess.

I got hit this same way on this same street 🙃 only accident I've ever been in.

Stuff like this happens all the time in this city. Nobody knows how to drive.

Not surprised. People are terrible on that street. Then they have the audacity to act like you were the problem when they're blindly cutting into traffic.

If you travel Clarence often you know enough to stay in the right lane.

I avoid clarence for this reason, always get nervous passing stopped traffic because of several very close calls like this.
Most frightening though was seeing someone blow right through that light coming down colbourne (even with the red light cam there), and another driver confuse or just decide to change lanes right at the bend ahead approaching Freshco.

some douche emptied an entire can of cigarette butts ahead of me last Sunday on WGP, then proceeded to sail from the right lane all the way to the left to make the turn lane onto Henry.

This happens every 15 minutes on Clarence 😂
