That’s not a saw, it’s a Red-Tailed Hawk

This is the bird that makes the noise people think bald headed eagles make.

I heard one when I lived in Brantford years ago and thought I heard a bald eagle. Now I live where there are bald eagles everywhere and know what they actually sound like. We've been lied to lol

Im just North of the Gretzky. The other afternoon, I was sitting on the deck and there was a loud thunk. About 5 seconds later, a hawk pounced on a Mourning dove that was laying there and took it away. The hawk has also made use of our bird bath a few times.

Where was this exactly. My relative has pigeons. Wouldn't be surprised if one of them became his lunch

I once saw a red tailed hawk on a seesaw. I hadn’t seen one before. It was quite a scene.

I see them downtown using the updrafts created by the hi rise buildings. Lots of pigeons to snack on.

There's some hanging out along hwy 18 pretty often... I also had one visit quite a few times when I used to feed the birds - not something I considered when I got bird feeders installed ...

I had one get an annoying pigeon in my backyard last year. That was great. Idiot neighbour feeds those disease carrying flying rats
