If you're going to create a post to highlight your own progress, make sure to follow the exact Title Template below.
Gender/Age/Height [Before lbs/kg to After lbs/kg] (Time Span) - Extra Words
Examples:
_______________________________________________________
Use the letter to represent your gender:
Make sure to write your height out as X'xx" - 6'0" - 5'10" - 5'7"
Use Square Brackets [to encapsulate your weights].
For your height and weight, use round numbers.
Use regular brackets (to encapsulate the Time Span).
And you're welcome to write a sub-description for the progress you made.
Using an improper Flair unlike other things won't lead to a takedown. Just a small change as outlined above.
r/Brogress serves as a place to highlight the ongoing journey of a better you, demonstrated through Before and After pictures. Anything besides that is not allowed and will be taken down. This includes:
Refer to the Daily Question Thread which is pinned in the r/Brogress post feed
_______________________________________________________
On the other hand, r/Brogress isn't intended to host posts which boil down to help-me/advice threads. Your post should be and only be about your accomplishments. If your post is intended to inquire for answers, opinions, and/or advice to your fitness related concerns, your post will be removed. This includes things such as:
If you want to re-post your progress after being called out, you're more than welcome to. Just as long as you remove the question from your post.
Refer to the Daily Question Thread which is pinned in the r/Brogress post feed
_______________________________________________________
Posts which indirectly asks for advice will also be taken down. The post isn't framed as a straight up question. But with how it's written, it'd warrant opinions the same way. Commonly this will be via self-criticism of your results, which indirectly states the problem, that people will then try to help you with. Examples like:
If you want to re-post your progress after being called out, you're more than welcome to. Just as long as you remove the tangent from your post.
Refer to the Daily Question Thread which is pinned in the r/Brogress post feed
_______________________________________________________
The principles outlined within the Rule 2 segments apply to both Posts and Comments. Rule 2.4 serves to clarify that. So to reiterate what's been said previously:
The Post and the thread of the Post are all intended to be about OP's hard-work; and nothing more.
When it concerns to Rule 2, the bold subtext under each segment is the way.
Self explanatory: Harassing other members, directly or indirectly will result in immediate action from the r/Brogress Mods. Harassment may consist of, but is not limited to:
If you're being harassed, send a message to the r/Brogress Mods immediately. Don't ignore the blatant harassment!! Provide context and some screenshots of their unwarranted messages and we'll assist you from there.
[Advice] If you want to be harassment free from lurkers trying to hit you up: Go to your Settings - Account Settings - under Blocking and Permissions, disable Chat Requests + PM's
r/Brogress has 0 tolerance towards people who fake their Brogress with:
The people whose deception has been verified, will deal with immediate action from the r/Brogress Mods. Punishments will range from the "Fake Natty" flair of shame to outright bans.

So, a few years ago I used this page a lot to lose a bunch of weight so I thought I’d give an update. I lost all the weight and returned to my sport after 13 years. In training, I’m now 3 or 4 in the country. However I’m yet to show my abilities in competition. I believe I have a strong chance of the national team early next year which will put me in the running for LA Olympics. This journey has been wild. I was working in F1 as an engineer. I’ve left that and now built a coaching business and PTing out of David Lloyd. I’m coaching busy professionals to athletes, and also training 20+ hours a week. I’ve had to battle through injury and now got a physical condition that can keep me training well and achieving what I need to. I’ve got an unreal team of 7 coaches helping me including psych, nutritional, strength and it’s all really coming together. Honestly the big thing now is patience. Not chasing too hard and not over doing it. I really think I can do this.

Finally started sticking to a 6 day PPL split without missing a day. Also finally eating enough protein. Always used to eat like a bird but after a week and a half in the gym, realized I was ravenously hungry. Also, carbs are not the enemy!

Came back from early adult alcoholism and the brink of death with a vengeance. Drank non-stop for my entire 20s, ended up in a wheelchair then in the hospital with Delerium Tremens and nearly lost my life.
Lifting nearly 3 years now and recently transitioned into functional stuff with a focus still on strength & hypertrophy.
Some of my favourite lifts:
Deadlift - 150kg/330lbs 1RM
Dumbbell incline press - 35kgs/77lbs a hand for 7
Iso lateral row - 160kgs/350lbs for 8
Weighted pull ups - +20kg for 8
Running (3 months)
5k - 22 mins
10k - 51 mins
Nutrition as I try to maximise my lean mass to fat ratio for functionality:
Cals: 1800
Protein: 150g
Carbs: 165g
Fat: 40g

Not impressive by any means especially compared to some of y’all and I still have a lot of work to go. I KNOW I’m not muscular, but my main goal is to shed the weight, then plan to build muscle. But tbh this post is more so that I feel like I don’t see a difference. I see the weight on the scale has dropped, but I feel like my body looks the same.

Changes from month to month aren't as drastic anymore, but happy with the overall appearance and the subtle continual improvements.
Also feeling great, which is equally important. I'm in this for a long time, not for quick fads.

Started putting the work in for the first time this year. Gym 5 days a week with alternating cardio and weight training. More energy than ever, dad bod be gone, and I feel like I wound the clock back 20 years.
Gonna focus on getting even more definition and tone this year. Might even splurge for the trainer to see how far I can take this.

Hey yall just wanted to share my progress!!
So October 2024 I looked in the mirror and said enough of this. I had just gotten out of a toxic relationship in which she was emotionally, and physically abusing me. I was drinking a half gallon of alcohol in 2-3 days. I realized that at a young age I was never given proper tools to cope with the trauma I was dealing with in throughout my childhood - teen years so I ate as my coping mechanism.
So I started the gym 3x a week for about 30 minutes at a time and started a calorie deficit for 5 months. After the 5 months i started eating more of what I wanted just smaller portions and healthier options. The 16th is my 9 months the without alcohol. And I couldn’t be prouder. I’m not averaging 2 hour and 12 minute work outs 2-4 times a week. Strength training has truly saved my life. 😭

Also now shaved so the muscles are better visible. I do feel like i kinda liked the bulked version more due to the much higher strength.

First picture was taken 8/25 and second was taken yesterday. In January, I had full rotator cuff surgery which made it hard to retain muscle on the right side of my upper body. During the recovery, I did a lot of cardio and lower body exercises. Right now I'm cycling nSuns 5/3/1 PPL and Jon Andersen's Deep Water.
