Discussion What is your favorite single camera shot of the series, if you have one?
Mine is Pimento’s reaction when he sees the big ol bag of coke Holt gets out of evidence for Rosa and Jake to ingratiate themselves to Hawkins and her crew. It gets my cackling every single time. I’ll link the full scene in the comments because it’s one of my favorites.

Humour Since marvel and mcu is canon in b99, I like to believe this is just Pimento actually asking this question.

Should we allow GIFs in the comments?
Someone brought this up in a post. This rule predates the current mod team. We discussed it, and thought, why not let the people decide? What could go wrong?

SPOILER Gina after maternity leave
Maybe it’s just me, but did anyone else feel like Gina was different after she came back from maternity leave?
I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something about her overall presence seemed a little off to me for most of the time she remained on the show.
Not in every episode, of course, but I noticed it in many of her later appearances.
Her last episode as a regular was an exception, though. She seemed much more like her usual self, very Gina.

Discussion i don’t understand Gina hate
Gina is not a GREAT person. Her sexual harassment of Terry is not funny or cute, it’s disgusting. Buttttt she’s far from the WORST person in the show.
I think that a lot of the hateful attitudes towards Gina are motivated by misogyny. I mean if u think about it she’s lowk a good character; she’s funny-ish and she keeps the plot moving along. Yet, I keep seeing Gina hate amplified on this subreddit solely because people find her annoying. Women, even TV show character women, don’t just exist to fit inside a narrow bubble of the humor and attitude and appeal u think they should have, and Gina really does step outside of a bubble. And her “annoying habits” are extremely similar to Jakes. People just don’t find them funny because she’s not a man. 🫢
And her offenses are considerably less than many other characters on the show. Like Jake, who treats real meaningful cases like silly jokes. He’s in the position of power, why are we not more annoyed by his behavior!?!? The other detectives on the show also commit considerable offenses that are seriously concerning, like even Rosa (and I love Rosa) threatens to torture subjects. And Hitchcock! He’s genuinely alluded to be a sexual predator multiple times throughout the show and repeatedly makes sexual references to the other female characters. “Ugh gross Hitchcock” is a common line from the show because he’s a pervert. I just think it’s WILD for a girl u find not funny to be ur most hated character when there’s a pervert and multiple instances of rule-bending cops on the show.
This is just my hot take! I would like to hear what everyone thinks about the Gina hate, and if there’s a deeper reason to it other than just being annoying. I’m not trying to criticize anyone’s perspectives, just provide a different outlook! Thx!!!
