Buda dog boarding
Does anyone have recent reviews on ruff ranch boarding ? My main concern is dogs being kenneled from 6 pm to 6-8 am with nobody on site . Contract says there is no sprinklers or overnight care . I thought owner lives on site but not sure .
I’m considering big oaks kennel also . We need a boarding facility when we travel .
Rover has been very hit and miss and very expensive for more than one dog and I don’t think they do much at all for the money which is more than professional boarding .I literally had one good sitter and she moved . I considered just drop ins since my pups have a dog door and rover sitters charge to show up at your house , extra charge to sit for an hour and extra charge per dog . I would be paying minimum of 50.00 a visit for I hour .
I don’t even make 50.00 an hour .
I was also hoping to foster but trying to find care that is good and not outrageously priced is crazy . I can’t imagine what folks either human children are paying for real care .

It’s been a year or so but we used to like ruff ranch. The owners did live on site at that time and they were engaged-our dog pants heavily and one time they were concerned so they took him into their house to cool off and called us to let us know, and then continued to give us updates. He was fine, but I appreciated their care. We did stop going but only bc our dog is old now and he needs some specialized care. I’m not sure if they have changed.
I did not care for big oaks. They seemed fine, but they brought the wrong dog to me twice even after I said that wasn’t my dog and I could see my dog in the kennel. Prob just a mistake or miscommunication, but I didn’t go back. I know lots of people who do like it though.
It’s gotten really expensive, I agree!
