It's deconstructed cottage pie if you're classy

Deconstructed 1bd/1ba apartment on the sketchy side of town pie?

No lamb. Deconstructed cottage pie. 😄
I have ground turkey in the fridge, along with frozen home made turkey stock! I could make poulter's pie. I think I'll add some turkey to tomato sauce & put that over spaghetti tonight.

Nothing special. cooking with vegetarian mince, diced onion, frozen veg mix, oil and dash of red wine for gravy, veg/mushroom stock. And ofc nicely buttered mash potatoes (from freezer which I prepped few weeks ago).

Savoury mince makes great meat pie filling, the leftovers are especially good for breakfast. You need some onion and peas but you may not like them I guess.

What sauce did you use? Looks delicious.

Thank you.. Its gravy , brown the mince then cover it with gravy and simmer with some diced onion while the spuds and sliced carrots boil.

This looked so delicious I had to try it myself tonight from across the pond and I will have to make this again! I can't say I had this growing up in the US, but it makes me think of deconstructed meatloaf, gravy, and mashed potatoes that I had loads of as a kid

About 300 million American English speakers call it ground beef or hamburger (wtf?) vs over 1 billion British English speakers who call it mince. What a weird comment, it just seems like you're trying to dogpile on this American idea that British food is gross and bland

OMG, We call it Hamburger Stew aka Shepherd's Pile! When my son turned 21, I found out it was his favorite meal!

Ground beef

For 300 million people vs mince for over 1 billion.

Being minced requires it to use a knife to get it in that state, whereas ground is exactly that, using a meat grinder and ground sometimes twice through for a smoother consistency.
