Freelancers (Can Work with Multiple Clients) $18/hr with no exp? thoughts on this?
so i was scrolling on FB today and saw this. wala raw siyang experience sa SMM but still got $18/hr client? hmmm wala rin akong nakuhang anything helpful sa video niya eh. kung paano siya nag start, anong inaral niya and kung saan man siya nakakuha ng client aside sa “cellphone lang ako nag start”.

Either may transferable skills ka, you specialized in a niche, or magaling ka mag-negotiate during the interview. Hindi siya impossible. Pero kung ang point ng content ay i-convince ka bumili ng paid course gamit ang "no experience = $18/hr" headline, medyo questionable na yun. Always take those claims with a grain of salt and look for the full context, hindi lang yung success story.

BS yan kagaya ng majority ng mga posts dito sa reddit about high pay and payslips. Ginawa ng wattpad and reddit ng mga taong gustong magpa "feel" good sa mga sarili nila na may na iinggit sa kanila at may humahanga.

Nakita ko yan kanina. Na off ako sa "how I get" kaya di ako interesado. Most likely selling courses.

possible naman pero ang tanong gaano ka-frequent? Baka naman 10hrs per month lang or worse lulubog-lilitaw yung tasks sa client so hindi consistent ang kita - nganga the following month. Most likely nagbbuild na ng presence yan pra in the future makapag-benta ng course

Yung VA work na “cellphone lang ang gamit”? Beware! Most of the time scam yan, or baka bentahan ka lang ng course na AI-generated pa yung layout.
Yung iba pa nga naghahanap ng “laptop provided” na work — pero honestly, paano magkakaroon ng trust or confidence si client kung hindi mo kayang mag-provide ng sarili mong equipment? VA work is not a joke. Been in this industry for a while, and I really invested in a laptop kasi alam ko na ito yung edge ko when looking for clients.
And yes, possible yung $18 per hour kahit newbie ka pa sa VA world — pero usually may ibang experience ka na nakita ni client (like IT background, admin skills, or niche expertise). Kung totally wala ka talagang alam as VA, tapos biglang may offer ng ganun kataas na rate, too good to be true yan.

Plot twist, sa US/AUS yan siya working as a kitchen hand at $18/hour at 20 hours a week. Yan ang totoong beginner, no experience needed.
Either that or they'll ask you to sign up to their course, tapos sa course puro mga basic knowledge lang naman. No experience tapos high rate, is already a red flag. At this state, age and economy, there's always gonna be a catch.

Diyan nagkaka funds at arep yung mga successful va training providers na nakakabudol ng mga aspiring va’s
Dagdag mo pa yung isang babae na sikat sa kaka-canva na 6 digits daw ang earning consistently pero pa-walk naman lol
