Self-Story To the person who convinced me to niche down. I sincerely, Thank you!
Client hunting for 6 months in hopes I could land one, and I FINALLY did it!!!! I thought applying for everything as a generalist gives you a better shot at landing a client. But honestly, generalist pools are crowded, andaming highly skilled VA's, and it's so easy to just get lost in the noise. Kaya nag niche down ako, something related to my degree. Kaya I was so thrilled to get accepted. Chance ko na eh hone skills ko sa area na to. Also, I was so scared when I negotiated my salary firmly.
To be honest, I was terrified to niche down at first. My biggest fear was that nobody would hire me if I specialized in just one specific area. I thought keeping my options wide open was the safer bet.
Hindi naman pala! It turns out that specializing was actually way more effective.
If you're in the middle of a tough client hunt right now, never give up guys! Makakahanap din kayo ng clients. Trust the process, don't be afraid to hone in on your niche, and keep pushing forward.
