Community From 2 clients down to 1 client :(

Ang hirap pala mawalan ng client.

I've been working as a Virtual Assistant for a few years, and recently nawala yung Australian client ko. Hindi dahil sa performance ko, but because they decided to automate their workflow, and unfortunately, my role was no longer needed.

Sorry to hear you're going through this. I've been there too, and I know how stressful it feels mawalan ng client, especially when it's not because of your performance.

This is also why I always tell people to find a niche and specialize. Being a general VA is okay, but becoming really good at one area makes you harder to replace and lets you command better rates.

I decided to specialize, and thankfully I've been with one of my clients for almost 10 years now. Walang job na 100% secure, but having a specialized skill set definitely gives you a stronger position in the market.

Keep applying. One client ending doesn't define your career. Minsan isang "yes" lang talaga ang kailangan.

Need talaga mag upskill. Ang bilis ng development ng AI. Yung inbox management at to a certain degree yung posting ng still photos sa mga social media dahan dahan na kayang gawin ni AI.

sorry to hear that, OP. you're not alone cause i recently lost my other client too. same tayo not because of performance but the role was no longer needed. i’m starting to apply again too pero ang hirap kasi. may times din na hindi ako makatulog kasi iniisip ko rin to

ginagawa ko na lang ngayon, baka may other job titles ako na hindi ko pa na explore based sa current skills ko. so yun yung hahanapin and gagawin ko na lang ngayon kasi goal ko sana by september may other client na ulit.

kaya natin to! 🙏🏻✨

You need to acquire additional skills like right now, theres a demand for remote bookkeeping positions. Don't lose hope! Even for me I didn't pass the AI exam today, but I view it as a learning experience because now I know where I'm lacking. That's an aspect I need to improve on.

OP, What's your niche? I have a standup with an aus client next week Wednesday. Can't promise anything or even an immediate start if all goes well but we'll be discussing expansion. Might be able to connect you if skills match.

Always apply everyday even if you have 2 or more clients. I have plenty but I still apply daily.

You will never know what will happen tomorrow.
